Cpf is dead because power abuse. It has more traffic because it is for profit, much like head-fi.
Since CPF was sold, about 6 months ago, it has lost traffic and is no longer ranked more popular than BLF (smaller number is higher ranking):

Thats kinda strange, did he actually make the site worse or is it just pandemic related coincidence?
If you look at the right side shelf of the the two graphs, CPF is actually trending slightly higher, going back say 40-45 days, after cratering during the sale.

back in January 2021, CPF had a 14% better ranking than BLF see top half of image below:
now in November 2021, CPF has a 32% worse ranking than BLF. That is a 10 month combined downward change of 46% for CPF relative to BLF…

Wow, not to be Debbie Downer, but both CPF and BLF have a worse rank now than in January 2021.
More people were probably staying at home due to lockdown then, so lots of time to focus on new things or pick up old hobbies. That’s my guess anyway.
I noticed it seems to be less active lately.

being curious, I looked up Reddit Flashlight… it is presently #20 (I dont have its January data)
apparently much more traffic on Reddit, than BLF or CPF

corona affected everyone, so whatever differences, I dont think corona is the primary variable to explain why CPF is sinking… I could speculate as to other reasons… but whatever they are… the ranking has shifted to favor BLF, over CPF… with Reddit eclipsing both CPF and BLF…
I have also started using Reddit, and have had nothing but happy interactions there, since CPF turned into a ghost town…
I feel sorry for the guy that paid Greta for CPF…
Im not on Facebook, so dont know if that accounts for some of the shift in participation
