Anyone here seen “Warehouse 13”? It’s a 5 season sci-fi like mystery show, focused on what I’m guessing is like that warehouse of classified artifacts shown at the end of the first Indiana Jones movie.
“After saving the life of the President, two Secret Service agents find themselves abruptly transferred to Warehouse 13 - a massive, top-secret storage facility.” It ran from 2009 to 2014. Described as “part The X-Files, part Raiders of the Lost Ark and part Moonlighting.”
I just started it… and it’s OK. Acting is a bit weak.
There are some intriguing qualities to the show. I like the premise of exploring all of those mysterious classified artifacts hidden away from the public… Also, the “anchor” guy in it, the “keeper of the warehouse” is actor Saul Rubinek, who is a character actor that has appeared on numerous shows, often as a quirky, mysterious, or devious character. He was in a Star Trek TNG episode, The Most Toys. He’s OK… not what I’d call in top form, perhaps the director not eliciting his best. Overall, it just feels a little “meh,” kind of like the TV series “SLIDERS” (something I enjoyed a bit when it aired back in the 90’s), which hasn’t aged very well. Given how it was discontinued 6 years ago, no hurry to get through it. Will dabble with a few more episodes to see if it gets better. Watching on IMDB. It’s high def.
Watching The Lost Symbol … I’m about 4-5 episodes in a think. I like it so far. I’d say it’s done almost as good as some of the later movies (not as good as the DaVanci Code) however that may just be because after the first “new” movie/show like this, another one isn’t as exciting…IMO.
I don’t know how I didn’t know about this series. I just happened upon it because I decided to check Eddie Izzards site to see if he had any new Standup out, (he did not) and this showed up.
I watched House when it was on and loved it very much. Highly recommend. At the time I had no idea he was actually British. About the time the show was ending (I think), he appeared on SNL in a hilarious spoof of Most Haunted (I think I may have posted this before, if so, apologies)
