Emisar D3AA is available now

But Hank does not sell the XHP35 HI 2700K ? :frowning:

Ive noticed Hank Had a price increase on about half of his models in the last week or two. So I would liken it to that. IMO, I was wondering when he would have a increase, every other manufacturer/retailer I buy flashlights from have increased their prices In the last 3 months too. Happy 2021!

The price increases are mostly due to the weak dollar relative to the Chinese yuan. The dollar is at a 3 year low vs. the CNY. Most countries are facing high inflation due to the fiscal and monetary policies implemented during the pandemic. In China, for my Double 11 shopping, most things were actually cheaper than last year. European goods such as the Italian/French coffee I buy were the cheapest it’s ever been.

yes, yes, yes, yes, yes...

I was also sceptical at first because of the callus rasp-like handle and when I actively rub it with my thumb, it is indeed uncomfortable. However, in everyday life, especially with gloves, I like the grip very much.
However, I would like a thicker body tube for ergonomic reasons. (Glove size 10)

For anyone else looking for a great DM11 pocket clip option, I’ve found that a Zebralight H600 clip is a perfect fit. It carries deeper, doesn’t contact the cheese grater knurling, and it’s got enough ramp still to get the light in your pocket without having to lift up on the clip. It fits right on without modification and is quite secure.

Thanks @tactical_grizzly, that's a good tip.

Most of the knurling does not provide good grip, only for decoration

I like this knurling. Something different, special.

Why must all flashlighs have the same knurling.
As said above, many of FL have knurling only for decoration.

Good job Hank! :money_mouth_face:

That knurling looks awesome. Just got a k9.3, and I’m dying to buy a bright green dm11 but wishing for 26800.

Would be great to see some more bright snazzy colors like that in other models.

Just eyeballing it, my thinking is that a Sofirn SP35 / Wurkkos TS21 clip may fit the DM11 well also. I bought several of them and have spares. To me, I like a double dip clip on lights in this size range, because in a jacket pocket I may want to put the light in bezel down, but in a sweatshirt or larger pants pocket I may want to put bezel up.

Wurkkos TS 21 doesn't fit.

just ordered two h600 clips ;)

Man I just want an orange host emisar, but I also want the new dm11.

Hank, would it be possible for you to widen the clip groove on D4V2 from 3mm to 4mm on future body tube production runs? That would allow a much wider variety of pocket clips to work without modification. Removing 1mm of knurling would be ideal.

Darn. Is the clip “collar” too wide? It could be filed down a bit if needed, like the M2R clip for the D4V2.

Just use this  :

Hank, can you confirm this estimate?

Or yours have 3000-3500K emitter which means lesser efficiency bin.

No. I have the 5000K model.

Measuring just now with two different integrating devices, each freshly calibrated to a maukka reference light, I got…

  • Lumen tube, ~0.51 to 1290 lm.
  • Box, ~0.43 to 1270 lm.

This was with a 50E cell at 4.07V. I’ll have to try it with a 40T too, after charging it.

Using the throwier optic would probably increase the measured output, especially in the tube.

It may also be relevant that this wasn’t a production model… it’s a prototype.

Precisely. That Sofirn/Wurkkos clip has 5mm wide arms, but the clip slot on DM11 is 4mm wide.
