Got my DM11's in late last night, started messing with them at 4am this morning and ordered another. I did not know how I was going to feel about this light, but after carrying the xhp35 HI all day (yes) and messing with the W2 for an hour, i can say i am keeping them both.
Also, these things are much smaller than i thought they'd be. They are almost the EXACT size of the Lumintop X9L, for a size reference if you are wondering about pocket carrying a DM11 and have a X9L already. same size, same feel in pocket.
Pocket Clip - The Olight (i know... lol) s2r Baton / Original Warrior Mini pocket clips fit REALLY well on here, and the Blue ano looks pretty good on the gray one IMO. NO Grinding necessary. they fit so well, I cant get them off! LOL. Just in case anyone had wanted another option for a clip. And with the baton / WM clip you dont get the effects of the knurling dragging across your pocket when inserting and removing it.

100% agree. it looks great in real life in my opinion, and i like that its different. It adds "body" to the battery tube, making the light look more aggressive. I for one hope it doesn't change. If the correct size pocket clip is used (that ZebraLight clip, the Olight baton / WM clip), there is no practical-use downside to having that knurling. I mean if you dont like how it looks, then that is a different story. There are other lights to buy. Functionally, I dont see the problem. The thumb rubbers might have to pass on this one though.

is it possible for there to be an option for a magnetic tail cap for the dm11? I would find that useful. Would be a nice option to have.
Gah! I JUST placed an order with Battery Junction for some Olight clips and I didn’t grab any of these! Thanks for the photos dude, those look like they might work eve a little better than the ZL clips I bought. Time for another BJ order…
I second this notion! Optional magnetic tailcaps belong on everything with a flat tailcap!
Agreed on the magnetic tailcap. Really wish the D18 had one….if nothing else for more stable storage in a house full of pets and kids.
@ArtieT59 what emitter did you order for the dm11 after having them in hand? I’m waiting for hank to stock other colors of the 26800 tube before making my next order, so I have plenty of time to agonize over emitter choice.
hah, yea I had exactly two extra baton/WM clips by chance, left over from my last BJ order. I packed one the other day for seeker pocket clips (bought a couple of those lights), and I didn't buy any of the baton clips either , because I didn't even think about them fitting. But I have 2 of those ZebraLight clips you recommended, coming in to me LOL, I bought them the night you mentioned it on my BST thread. So I'll have those as backups now.
and yes, the magnet would be great! That's honestly one of the deciding factors of why I sold my ZebraLight sc64w HI. Magnets are so useful with any light.
bought another W2, to try a couple different LEDs in. Going to try a xpl-hi 2850k, and (hopefully) a CULPM1 Osram. If it will fit on the 3535 w2 board. I'm not really "taken" by the nichia b35am option. I don't see the upside vs the xhp35 HI. Especially since I'll be putting in a hi CRI xhp35 HI .
Just ordered same, but with green switch backlight. My first venture into 3500K.
To be honest I expected to see more of a difference considering that XHP35 HI should produce almost 50% more lumens. I’m wondering how would XHP35 HD or even XHP50.3 HI focus in those optics.
in real life. There is a huge difference in output between the two. It looks like it's more than double the lumens.
The pictures were more for throw demonstration, I'm using an iPhone 12 with whatever standard camera settings and it just kind of averages out the TIR spill on these when taking a picture of them.
i'll try to get a better picture later, but there is a very big difference in overall output and lighted area. i'm really pleased with tgd xhp35 HI version. And I have over a dozen xhp35 HI lights.

I definitely get how the XHP35 HI is going to produce about double the lumens of the W2… so a few curiosities:
- Does the XHP35 HI get appreciably hotter and in less time? General estimate?
- Does the W2 have a noticeable advantage in throw distance, or to the human eye is it a nominal difference?
- Is the W2 more efficient, meaning it’ll run longer at its maximum brightness level versus the XHP35 HI set to a similar lumens output?
I have to say, I really like the tint of the XHP35 HI 4000k. Looks natural, easy on the eyes.
