$5 Thrunite Ti

And right now ā€œ3900 Units in Stockā€, almost 1 week later :expressionless: They have sold almost 1000 units in first 24 hours and only 150 in 1 week. Iā€™m almost sure that those 1000 TIs were sold to unique, lest say, 300-400 users? That web isnā€™t so popular like DX, for example. Spread worldwide that offer will cost much more time that if it was DX. Just my .02.

I think it says so on their Facebook page.

Ahso. I donā€™t do Facebook.

See post#120.

Thanks. I hadnā€™t noticed the ā€œFrom FBā€ notationā€¦

Itā€™s ok. I will probably buy two of this anyway. I just wish the color isnā€™t random and itā€™s really firefly. For $5 yes who cares. But for $11 ā€¦.

Do we have a contact name at ThruNite? I emailed them 3 days ago, and still waiting for a replyā€¦ great supportā€¦

yeah donā€™t expect any support from themā€¦

Itā€™s 5$ ā€¦. is there any reason to cancel?? or fret ? or worry ? come on ā€¦.forget about it ā€¦
in a month it will be in your mailbox and youā€™ll be happy

Give them a break
What do you want ā€¦.a tracking number ?

They mentioned the 15th June after they saw they couldnā€™t handle the volume. I suppose you didnā€™t read an earlier post of mine. I will be away for 2 months, and if something comes through the post, it stays at the post office one month, then being undelivered it gets returned backā€¦ So I am not being unreasonable trying to contact them to see if they have one t ship now, or cancel, or at least give someone elses address so that the offer doesnā€™t go wastedā€¦

As for giving them a breakā€¦ well after 3 days and no reply even to say: ā€œwe received your message, we will get back to you within 48 hoursā€ or just a word, any word, sorry but for me they suckā€¦ I suppose they will bother to reply after a week? Never maybe? And no I never asked for a tracking number. :expressionless:

Wont your pst office hold your mail for you if you ask? They certainly will here.

Mmmā€¦ thought about that, I could tell them but since they donā€™t write it anywhere I am not so sure if theyā€™ll remember about it.

I think this is probably one of the worst marketing mistakes ever for a torch company. Think about it!

If I was planing a deal like this I would have come on here and CPF and made the offer to enthusiasts, rather than going on slickdeals and facebook. What has happened is a load of people, most of which are possibly not even interested in torches or LEDS, have ended up picking up multiples of these lights, a lot of them will probably end up on ebay, or in a draw at home, unused. But more importantly they probably wonā€™t encourage repeat purchasing.

If they had offered them to us, we more than likely would have bought more Thrunite lights thus giving them reviews and ā€˜airtimeā€™ on here. Instead they have got a lot us us talking about them in the wrong way. They couldnā€™t even reply to the email sent from a member here, asking to extend the deal for us guys. Which makes me think about the after sales if you had a problem.

Not good really. :open_mouth:

I agree, very true.

My post office often hold my mails/packages for me. I write a short note for the postā€™s staff with my name + duration of absence. They stick my note on a wall in their depot. So they wonā€™t forget.

Here in Greece it is questionable if they will remember. Nevermind that August is a ā€œdeadā€ month, all public sector is almost closed, and everybody is away on holidaysā€¦

Well if you want to get out of the deal. I will take it off your hands. :p

Thatā€™s possible also as I said, if they ever bother to reply to meā€¦

Spoke with a representative from ThruNite today, she was very helpful, told her to join the forum so maybe we will be seeing her here as a ThruNite representative, and get direct support and offers. 8)

For the Facebook-challenged, ThruNite posted this update on the Ti lights today:
