Only just saw this mate, I meant the XinTD. As ILF has pointed out that his friend owns both of these Iād see what he has to say, I only own the XinTD so maybe accused of biased but judging by info I believe what I said is correct
No prob, Jeansy. Thanks
Had a bad experience with the romisen RC-T601 U2. Got one with a way off centre LED, almost touches the reflector. Asked the seller for a replacement
and he told me āitās a budget light what do you expect, return it and take the refund to buy something betterā lol Great way to stand behind your product Shiningbeam.Guess i will go for a XinTD 8
Brian told you that?
I just got my XinTD... what a perfect light... butter smooth tailcap threads... even un-lubed... can tailstand perfectly... very clear lens and reflector... perfectly centered emitter... very, very nice tint (NW).... it just screams quality all over... very throwy for a C8, but still usable spill... nice high PWM (undetectable)... landslides better than my cheapo KD C8(XM-L) and my Ebay C8 (XR-E)... it gets the "Vectrex Seal of Approval" overall.
Rick has both of these lights. Maybe he will give his thoughts.
Would love to hear his thoughts. Trying to decide between the two, and it seems owners of each stand behind what they have. Really would love to hear from someone who has both.
Welcome to the club, toade!

Unfortunately yes.
Iāve decided to keep it and take the star off and realign it. Was cheaper to buy new thermal paste then it was to ship back cause iām in Canada.

Wow, I am surprised to hear that out of Brian. Iāve never had a problem from them, sorry to hear that. You could send it to E1320 another guy on here just sent his to Erik and is very pleased.
Ok to the lights I just got the XinTD C8 V3 XM-L I chose the 2 mode CW which says 910 Lumen
It does throw good and is a nice bright white color. I got my last KE-5 out to compare it to last night which pulls 3.55 amps and they are pretty close, the tight hot spot of the KE-5 edged out for the win up close but the KE-5 getās alot hotter to hold when the XinTD stayed cool/warm
Hereās a link where I got my KE-5 for $19.99

Hi rikr, I see you compare the output and touch on heat management but could you comment on other aspects? Build quality/feel/grip/size/Runtime/PWM/modes/UI etc, I know itās a lot to ask but it would be interesting

Thanks for the input. Still not sure which you like better between the XinTD and RC-T601. Sounds like from your post KE-5 > RC-T601 > XinTDā¦ but that they are all VERY close. Plus KE-5 can be kind of a lottery.
Well Iāve just mailed off my LED pill to Erik. Gonna get the Led realigned and the 5 mode no strobe 3.5 amp driver installed as iāve already noticed flickering in low mode and sometimes it goes down to almost moonlight then back to full power lol. might as well get it swapped out to

I hope I was some help, My new KE-5 and RC-T601 II is very close to callā¦It took me buying 4 of them to finally get lucky and get a good oneā¦ā¦ I never heard of the problems until today about the RC-T601 II , but the XinTD is a very nice light and runs cooler than the KE-5 so thatās a + and as far as I know I havenāt heard anything bad about the XinTD and you can choose your modes and tint thatās a plusā¦

Wait until you see his moon/mode itās bad ass
The Keygos has a tactical bezel and tailcap and the Romi has that cigar grip rings. It is true that the Romi and Keygos are a lot cheaper than the XinTD, but a neutral XM-L would cost me $7-10 and a high PWM 3-mode driver $4-5... so that puts the high price of the Xin ($32) into perspective.
