What blade did you EDC today?

Doug Ritter RSK MK1-G2 (older M390 version)

More often than not I carry a Spyderco MANIX 2 GRAY FRCP MAXAMET
There is not a one of the many other knives in various steels that stays as sharp for as long.

I really need to pick up an RSK,
Hogue makes a great knife and I really like the Ritter blade shape. I Should probably sell off some stuff and just do it,

Also today I carried my Kershaw Highball Ti

Nice looking knife!

Petrified Fish Havrog. Amazing level of fit & finish in this budget segment!

I really like the overall look of that knife but I hate the micarta thumbstud
Also PF please give us some new steels,

Actually the thumb studs are made of G10 and they’re removable, but if that’s not your cup of tea then it doesn’t help too much.

I agree on this one. A Micarta stud might be cool but I just don’t like the match here.

As far as steels, PF has done a few knives in 14C28N. I wish they’d do more.

PF is very interesting to me. I love the one that I have, i got it for ~20$! (PF818 g10 + d2)

now all their models have been released in the 50$ price bracket… a few are still in the 35$ range.

I think i’ll stick with SRM knives. I picked up a new FRN version of their hit axis model.

SRM 9201-PL is the model number. they went with 8cr this time. it’s smooth and the handle is really light, but i prefer the d2 model with the beefier handle… it’s only a bit more, plus it’s got much better materials.

but for 20$, the SRM 9201-PL really was fun to try out, recommended for those keeping the budget tight

I have a laser goniometer, which measures the edge angle geometry and condition of a knife, but it is difficult to use it.
Is there some video showing the process please?

These guys this week….

Today was the Asher Douglas

Sanrenmu 9306 slip joint:

Well, well… I didn’t realize Asher Knives produced a new model. I’d not seen the Douglas before. Nice! Reminds me of the Centri, with that long groove. Checked out their site… and wow, everything is sold out. I wonder if this company is preparing to retire the business? I have two of the Nomad knives with S35VN blades. Really terrific action on them, with bronze phosphor washers.

There’s some nomads dropping this week according to Instagram, and Spiro’s are coming

I think they just changed up the business model and aren’t carryt a lot of stock

My faithful companion for almost a year now, Endura K390.

Thanks. I don’t follow Asher on Instagram so I’d never have known. I love the Nomad. It’s by far one of the smoothest operating folders I have… a little plain, somewhat reminiscent of a Ganzo, but better. So much better.

A vintage K55K given to me by my dad 20 years ago.

Been wearing my 2nd made 5” CPM-3V in a Kryptek Highlands cordura pattern kydex sheath. Mondo sharp and stout in spades. The scales are darker than I’d intended, Mesquite with a goldish band of burl. Pins are Titanium of course.

I’ve completed 6 knives, have 5 ready to send out to heat treat. Got stopped temporarily by health issues. Aggravating. It is what it is.

Contemplating a couple that are challenging, a Kris and a folder. We’ll see.

^ VERY nice work there, Dale! :+1:

Thank you. Work is the key word there! Just spent a total of 5 hours polishing the blade. ( glutton for punishment!)
