Seriously. Oh and Iām in. 8)
Iām in for a light, I needed somewhere to store my spare 26650, this seems like a good place
yeah im in for the option 2 myself.
Iām in on the NW version with the battery and charger!-Rick
Iām in for one. NW definitely.
And Iāll be looking for the batt and charger as well as I donāt own any 26650s.
Count me in for option 1 please. Where do I pay
I think you should just call it: TrustFire A8 BLF Edition
^^^ This.
I'm in pending review, light only.
Please make the driver at least 3amps!

+1
I'd suggest cranking up the pwm higher than 1HZ since the pwm on the mini was still visable .. Why not ??
and ask for "no green" tint 3c xmls .. I'd at least mention the fact that people complained about the tints

Ummm, yeah. Good point. +10
Somehow Iāve got myself into the habbit of assuming that any custom XM-L build is automatically going to be driven at around 3A or so. But yes, we should be clear about this. Less than 3A would be a fail.

Yeah, 1hz is pretty visible, 1 kHz not so much. ;)
Option:
1.only the light. China Mail: 23$.
ePacket,SG,HK MAIL:25.5$.
2.with a TF Flame 26650 battery+TR-005 charger+gift box. (EU,US or UK plug)
China Mail:38$
SG,SE MAIL:42$
45$ for a DHL 3-5 daysā shipping. (USA only)
Hi there!
I just saw this in another thread about USPS shipping lithium batteries starting the November 15: Redirecting (āwhen installed in the equipment they are intended to operateā)
Since epacket is partly USPS, do you think you might be able to ship this way when the flashlight is finished?
The reason I ask is that, while the DHL shipping is only a little bit more and very fast to the US, DHL charges for taxes and customs duty AND a customs ābrokerageā fee when we receive the package which makes the cost more expensive (in my case cheap ebay shoes sent DHL from China turned into not-so-cheap)
Thanks in advance and have a GREAT day!
I would like to know the current on high for this model. If it is driven harder than the original version reviewed above, Iām in. Just the light for me, no battery or charger
Iām in for option 2.
Nichia 219 3-up with narrow optics ...
Blam !
just kiddin
sort of
Put me down for one kit w/ batt and charger. Nw for sure.
Iāll take it!!!
Well, I have 2 TF 26650s already but needed a third one for my TF J12 5xXML. whatās the consensus on TF-005 charger? Does it really charge at >1Amps?
How about āBLF Fattyā? lol
I'm in as well.
I am not sure I would be happy with 3+ amps, because with PWM mode control the vast inefficiency of the xml at that current will also be present in the low modes while the one advantage of this light over single 18650 lights is runtime, don't spoil that please. I'd say 2.8A on high is more than enough (you won't get much more noticable light out of an xml above that current, you do get more heat and conductance problems in the switch). Unless Trustfire puts in a current controlled driver in this one ofcourse .
Oh, the name: Trustfire A8 -Budget Light Forum Edition- (enough space on a light like this )
