this is mine coming from manafont today.
what do you think, is it a plastic reflector or alumunium reflector?
also my evgreen flat top battery wont work on this flashlight,
so i’ve been thinking to get this one Sanyo UR18650FM 2600mAh Li-ion or this one Panasonic NCR18650A 3100mAh Li-ion or i should go with the unprotected one.
which one would you suggest better for small sun zy-t08?

Plastic. Any button top cells will run this, but the smaller the button the better.
Don’t worry about the plastic reflector, it works, be happy.

gords1001:
I added a little solder to the edge of the driver, to make it a good press fit. No difference in out put, I also cleaned the anodizing where the switch PCB contacts the body, no difference. I fitted a pot, minimum setting was 0.5ohm, that raised the output from 1.94a to 2.43a on good cells, and up to 3a on crap ultrafire Grey’s, guess their good for something.
I’m waiting for johnnymac and viffer to get back on the readings of the pots viffer found.
Mine read 0.45 ohm - 49.5ohm in a 270 degree sweep.
The ones viffer found are rated 20 ohm and and 22 turns of adjustment - much better resolution.
You definitely need to get closer to .22 ohm.
Let us know if you find something. I’ll probably be ordering weekend after next (payday).
The above mentioned ebay pot looks good. 360° full turn -> 0.7-0.8ohm, minimal resistance ~0.03ohm, max ~19.3ohm,

Is that yours or a stock photo? If it's yours, any report on tailcap current, build quality, etc . . . ?

Hmm, slightly better price, about $1, but will wait for further report on the quality.
Well, not like MF ones are consistently good anyway
I’ve submitted product request at fasttech for T08 and T13 before this, hope it gets through.

I can say my protected KeepPower Panasonic 3100's from KumaBear fit in my ZY-T08 just fine. I expect yours will be ok too.

It’s my 1-st post on BLF so hello everyone flashoholics
I decided to buy this flashlight for example there: CLICK Anyone has Small Sun ZY-T08 from this site?
I have a lot of cells 18650 but all are unprotected so could someone confirm built in voltage protection? If not, which flashlight will you suggest? My aim:
- throw
- 1 (or 2) unprotected 18650
budget under $30
I read that Small Sun ZY-T13 and Romisen RC-T602 are also good choice. How about built in voltage protection? Any other suggestion?
