I have a G5 Maelstrom that I run with an 18650. I wonder if this light has a bit more spill than the G5 with the extra throw? I believe the G5 is around 12000 lux. Would 2000 mah Eneloop’s work well in it ? Also, won’t the cool white throw a little better than the neutral ? I basically am wondering if it would be a big enough improvement over the G5 to be worth the change.
Thanks

Well, I’ve decided to pass. My logic is this; I own a pa-40 neutral in the same led bin/tint. The Ea4 neutral is a XML t5…If it were a t6 neutral, I’d buy it already. I’m waiting for a better XML neutral tint. Hopefully the t6 is it….Besides, I own a thrunite tn30 neutral XML t5 as well. Also, I’m waiting for Eagletac’s new light….That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. (as I try my hardest not to buy the ea4)…I will however look forward to my dads response when he receives his ea4 x-mas gift.
Thanks ILIKEflashligts, for putting the throw in perspective.
The EA4 destroys the PA40. Not even close.

The EA4 is a T6 3C
Hrm, Craig from Illum. Supply checked with nitecore and they said it’s a T5. Where did you hear it’s a T6?

Rikr, those look like selfbuilt pics. Thanks for the info. I’d like to see a distance shot between the pa40, and your ea4.

flashlight man says that the EA4 kills the PA40 that’s why I found that link to give you an idea on how good of a light this EA4 is…

It feels tight not spongy. I dig the blue light on the switch, I think that is such a cool feature!!

I do!! It is very impressive for how small it is. I am so glad I got it. Whoever decides not to get this light is making a big mistake!! I can’t get over how far it throws!!
