I know it’s not budget but I have Quark Mini 123 XML. 1 x CR123 with a claimed 210 lumens OTF. Probably 180 ANSI but runs a little over an hour on high. How long could a similarly driven 1 x AA run?

The XM-L is very slightly brighter (but not noticeably so) than the XP-G at up to 700mA, which is about the maximum current one can expect from a 1xAA configuration.
But maybe XM-L would be preferred over XP-G and XR-E for its beam pattern and for its lower thermal resistance?
Zebralight SC51 pulls 200 lumens off a single aa nimh and lasts about 46 minutes. The Thrunite Neutron 1a may run as high as 240 lumens on a single aa nimh and goes 44 minutes. The Fenix LD10 R4 will do about 150 lumens on a nimh and last about an hour.
That’s hot! I really like the finger grips molded into the body. Looks like a sweet torch!
Edit: Looking again at the design it's a shame they put the cooling fins on the wrong end of the light. They won't do much good being covered my the user's sweaty palms. They should have put the fins up by the head where they would do the most good.
Wow, now that is enticing! I think I'll be getting a black XM-L in neutral once the first reviews come in. I wonder how difficult it is to get a clip onto that. Does anyone have one of these Xeno E03's?
There are quite a few reviews of the earlier XPG model EO3. It actually got quite positive reviews even compared to some of the more premium flashlight brands.
I had a look around, but I can't find a photo of this light taken apart. I wondered if it was possible to reverse the tube and have those fins at the head end, I guess someone is just going to have to get one and tell us :)
OK so I got the 14mm XML from Shiningbeam in the mail this week and I checked and it will fit perfectly in my R5-A3 with the strobe delete mod, my current amp draw.
Tail cap draw with freshly charged trust fire flame 14500.
High 1.648 amps
Med .467 amps
Low .168 amps
I think the low will not be low enough, but I could live with that. Does anyone want to guess what the max lumens on high will be?
