Yep. I have a string trimmer and its awesome. I also have a 20v B&D Blower, but will get a 36v soon. They are great tools. And yea right now those 3 tools are the only ones I know of that use the 36v packs. Probably in the future there will be 36v drills and other yard related tools (chainsaw perhaps?). I have quite a few B&D 20v tools as well, they are great. After all B&D owns Dewalt and Porter Cable, so they make some pretty nice stuff. In fact there are many porter cable tools that are simply rebranded B&D’s.
Good to hear that they are performing well. Also I’m curious what the pack date is on these. It should have 2011 or 2012 stamped on the black top of the pack.
the one i got was a 2012. but my average cell voltage was lower than everyone elses. maybe my multimeter is finally crapping out? on full charged cells its reading 4.12v… maybe my cheap trustfire charger or maybe the multimeter…
So I only bought 3 packs. These showed 2 bars when I pressed the test button, the rest showed only 1 bar… lets see how the voltage is … time to open 1 up.
Its great to see that no one has blown themselves up yet to save a few dollars on some very low capacity cells. I hope it stays that way. Good luck to all…
Who would of thought that drilling out a screw head would spin the screw deeper into the pack and almost pierce one of the cell casings all the way thru. It was very close. I brought that cell outside and it vented there.
