Well, actually I made that choice and went with the U2 for the SS T08, but had both, so, still used a T6 0D in a resistor mod'ed SS T13, but the super T08 got the U2 de-domed and I think benefited the raw kcd numbers. Not apples to apples, but the T08 @4.5A got 210 kcd (about there?), and the T13 at 3.4A got 155 kcd.
Resulting tints are both strong neutral - don't think the T6 0D was as neutral, but that's a tough call because didn't have both mods available at the same time.
Update:
All the latest copper mounted LEDs from intl-outdoor, along with color XM-L (thanks islisis for adding it) and bare XP-G2 5A4 (about 4100K) are now added in the spreadsheet.
This is great news for the whole community. Especially for those who want maximum output! Maybe not so for all those who now feel the urge to change out their XM-L2 U2s, just to stay on the top…
They even sell it for the same price as the U2. Not bad. Not that I will buy due to shipping.
Anything could have happened, maybe anticipated delivery or 1 customer buying out their full inventory, who knows, could have happened with something hot like this.
Probably a very nice emitter for smaller AA and 2xAA lights… also for various multi emitter lights. Higher CRI than all the common Cree emitters in that tint range.
Update:
Added the NW 80-CRI XM-L2s from intl-outdoor and XB-D to a new sheet. (links found in previous post)
Added Nichia 119 sheet, with one WW high cri Nichia 119 from FT.
Higher CRI emitters, gotta love them…
Thats a shame…
On the bright side… There will always be a next order…
Its quite sweet that intl-outdoor have the T4, 80 CRI version. And that Illumination supply got the T5 75 CRI version…
Im impressed with the 5$ price @ Illumination supply. 5C tint have usually been more expensive then the more common emitters (CW and 5000K NW). FT sells the old XM-L version for 6-7$…
I have several of those T4,80 CRI versions coming my way. Pulled the trigger the moment I saw some 5C tint XM-L2s. Been waiting for ages for some to pop up.
Unlike most WW emitters, this is closer to neutral. Its not 80-cri typical, but 80-CRI Minimum. In that case T3 bin is the highest bin there is. Cant wait to compare it to some other emitters!
(Intl-outdoor have also gotten 18 AWG wire in stock)
I see CNQ have gotten some cheapo copper MCPCBs. Looks the be the same as others sell for same price if not slightly cheaper… http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1901
I added them anyway…
Edit: Quantity discount is nice if you buy 10 or more…
I have yet to see some tests one these…
