1000 cycles is probably in perfect “lab” conditions… for example, perfect temperature, charging cells at .2c and discharging at 200ma, never overcharging or over discharging… of course real world is going to be something less
Maybe everyone has already seen this, but Amazon has Eneloops, 8 AA for $16.98, 8 AAA for $15.99. Might be interesting if you order enough stuff to reach the $35 free shipping. 1900 maH/1500 charges variety.
i asked them about 4th gen cells and they said that the release be not planned yet therefore they could not tell me any specific date blablah ballaballa.
anyway i expect to see them in Europe on April 1st 2014 ;)
Can anyone comment on whether these Eneloop AAAs on Amazon are 3rd gen The description looks right but the crown in the pic seems off. I have never owned Eneloops and I want to try them out.
Thanks,
John

They seem to have 2nd gen wrappings in 3rd gen packaging.. some say the batts are 3rd gen but something went wrong with the transition from 2nd gen to 3rd gen, an placed the wrong wrappers.
I'm also selling real eneloops, the latest available,4th generation 100% the real deal!
If you are interested see my for sales thread here on BLF.
Thanks ChibiM, the post you linked was to the same Amazon page I was looking at. It does look like their image was the only accurate element on that page full of fraud. I was thinking it was just an old image with newer merchandise.
Thanks kreisler, I am in the US to I can’t use your link. The 5 pack seems nice, I haven’t seen that before.
