It’s not, Klarus lights have much higher quality than most cheap xxxfire products.

thank you for the heads up. This is easily my most durable and daily used lights. I bought 1 last Feb and used it almost daily till now. Mostly as a night stand on the low setting. Must have been running for hundreds of hours by now…

I wish they had the single cell version for that price, as the BA10 is a superb flashlight as well. It would be nice to get the equivalent Klarus cheap enough to give as gifts.
My BA10 doesn’t see a lot of use these days, but it’s always there for me in my EDC pouch, ready to be tossed into the car or my luggage when I’m ready to get sh*t done. I know it’ll work when I need it to.

In order to find out which competitive light ( d , a , b , j stand for D 25A, A rcher, B A10/P1A, J R30 ) is brighter on which Eneloop cell ( h , l stand for resting voltages full 1.47V Eneloop vs. empty 1.24V Eneloop) i had to visually compare all possible pairs of combinations . How many pairings would i get in theory? Exactly, 28.
n =4*2 =8 ; k =2; n over k = n!/((n-k)!*k!)= 8!/((8-2)!*2!) =28
So i did the visual experiment, got 28 visual results (e.g. jh > bl means that JR30 on a full Eneloop is brighter than P1A on an empty Eneloop), and if my eyes were to discern brightness differences correctly in each of the 28 tests, then the computer would not return an error in the total evaluation.
As we can see, the computer didnt, which means that my set of 28 comparison test results were 100% consistent with each other. Perfect result. In more compact form, Out[3] can be written as a chain of inequalities:
dh > ah > dl > jh > bh = jl > al > bl
Or in words, D25A(on a full Eneloop) is brighter than Archer (full) which in turn is brighter than D25A(empty) which in turn is brighter than JR30(full) which in turn is brighter than P1A(full) which in turn is about as bright as JR30(empty) which in turn is brighter than Archer (empty) which in turn is brighter than P1A(empty). In other words, on a full Eneloop the Archer is one of the brightest (only second to the Eagletac which is the top brightest), and on a depleted Eneloop one of the dimmest (only second to the Cletus which is the dimmest).
i love my P1A. it's spec'ed with 150 Cletus ANSI lumens but as the above reviewer established, it is so much less bright than the JR30 R5 which is spec'ed at 120 ANSI lumens. even worse, as soon as Eneloop voltage goes down, the P1A brightness declines as well, whereas on the JR30 the brightness remains constant.
so don't buy the P1A for the claimed lumens. just saying ;)

I think it’s pretty good. For 21$ you do not buy anything better.

…my Klarus P2A arrived yesterday from Bangggood. Exactly 14 days from order date to WA. State. I’d buy from them again without hesitation. In fact, I think my P2A needs some company…little brother, P1A ?

This is a very underrated series in my opinion. Both the 1xAA and 2xAA versions are simple, rugged, reliable and cheap!
