I got my ganzo 301 today. Fast post - 7 days. This is a nice MT. It is heavy and well made. Includes screwdriver bits.Fits all in one pouch. Tools lock as well. I recommend buying this.
Would you be so kind and go a little more into details on that multi-tool? Do you have some well known MTs (Victorinox, SOG, Leatherman) to compare to? Anything you don't like about it?
Hmm.. Don't have any leathermans but I have handled some. Not worth the price IMO ( very expensive in OZ). I have a Gerber and a cheap multitool that broke. For the price its very good value for money. I have not given it any serious use. It is quite strong. Nothing I don't like about it. The locking mechanism is good. All tools lock. I like the scissors. It is heavy and feels solid. Buy it now!
Yep, I think I mentioned it first.... but there seems to be a curse on me being the guinea pig... whenever I do it ... I get a lemon. :-(
Where are the bits stored also in the pouch? With a separate compartment like in the leatherman sheaths?
Locking tools has the main advantage that the screwdrivers don't snap while using them. The Mammut is OK, but it only locks the blades and not the internal tools. I'd rather have non-locking blades and locking internal tools, because negative forces a much less likely with the blades than e.g. the screwdrivers .
The bits are stored at the back, inside the pouch. There may be better Mt's out there but not for $40 USD. The small keyring attachment thing does not lock. Which isn't a con in my opinion.
