I’ve been looking through the CRKT online catalogue, there’s a couple of nice slipjoints coming up, but what really caught my eye was this Hook and Loop (Velcro) Tool. Designed by Trip Felton CRKT Hook and Loop Tool and rest of catalogue!
Damn good idea that, Velcro seems to store fallen hair and various other things, mud etc., after a while it becomes difficult for the Velcro to “stick” together. I’ve been using a small screwdriver to clean the hooks and loops but this tool is made for the job.
No idea of release date but I’ll be looking.
MRSP of $29.95 so less than that online probably.
I don’t know if it’s been posted anywhere else on the forum but it seems like it fits here.
FastTech are stocking the NITE IZE KLK-11-R3 Stainless Steel Keychain w/ 6 S-Biners $7.84, not a bad price for what is pretty much a complete keyring. Looks like the S-Biners lock closed as well, I’ve not taken much notice of Nite Ize products before but this looks good for the price.
I was gifted one of these a few weeks ago and replaced my regular not-for-climbing key carabiner with it, its allright, I’ll keep using it cause it was a gift but not cause it outperforms a regular one or anything
I have my key ring hooked threw the hex drive part cause it always got twisted around otherwise.
It’s a clone of a high-end custom utility blade that I’ve seen floating round the past month or so. Of course I want one, and of course there’s no way I’m spending $150+ on a utility holder. It looks like our friends in China feel the same way.
Seriously, the Rexford R.U.T. is a really attractive piece of work and, honestly lightyears beyond the one I posted in terms of fit and finish, but that’s way too much money, even for braggin’ rights.
Sorry, have to disagree on the “braggin’ rights”. Its a utility blade holder, you stick a 50cent blade in it. That $150 thing won’t provide them braggin’ rights, it provides everyone else laughing rights!
The “clone” is whats appropriate for utility blade holder imho. I’ll throw the real cash at something else.
