My wife’s nephew in the Philippines wanted one of those advertised package deals for a zoomie Ultrafire Cree XML T6 2200lm with 2 18650s and a charger. I decided to investigate before buying. A google search led me here and to that other forum. Now I’m hooked.
As it turned out, I bought a Convoy C8 and 2 UltraOK ZS-2 from RMM and a cheapo C8 and 2 cheapo zoomies recommended here from MyLED, a couple of budget chargers and some 18650s. It adds up fast, doesn’t it?
Now I have a nice Skilhunt H02 headlight and a SWM c22c added to the collection and waiting for the EE A6 and LS D80 BLF-SEs is perhaps the best way to slam on the brakes, for now anyway.
I found BLF through google when I was looking for a XM-L2 based flashlight as my everyday carry. 50$ was still pushing it and once I stumbled upon this forum, it took me 3 days to decide to build my own light.
I currently own 1/2 a flashlight. I have all the parts but I am trying to record a video so that I can help this community grow since I couldn't find a nice video when I was still researching.
I found BLF with google. I’m a night biker and wanted some more info on led lights that mount to bikes. I ended up here and the forums on mtbr. I post there minimally, and usually just lurk here. This contest got me to register.
I started searching about replacing stock drivers with Q-lite drivers after reading about how to get rid of next mode memory and blinkies in a flashlight review. My searching led me to BLF.
I currently have a solarstorm x2 mounted on my bars. it seems to be getting dimmer than before. I’m thinking the crappy stock batteries are dying. Need to find a new pack.
