Just got mine .

I like it . Very floody compared to an S2 . The 4C tint is nice and the switch is really smooth .

Recommended .

Just got mine today, and was about to post, but you said it for me:-)

I have Xp-G2s for throw in a small light, and have larger XM-L2s for flood or throw, but this light really fills a niche for me.

This is a really good light for ā€œUp-Closeā€.

What a deal for 13 bucks at Gearbest!

How long can you guys hold it in your hands on turbo?

Donā€™t knowā€¦ Iā€™m really pretty easy on my stuff, and really conservative.

It gets hot pretty quick on high, but most of the time I use Med. - Never too hot to hold.

BTW - Love the looks of your Island!

I intend to use this light as a bike light , probably on medium .

As I usually average around 14 MPH , the air movement will keep it cool .

Just holding the light on high , it will be too hot to hold ( comfortably ) in 4 minutes or so .

3-4 minutes on turbo is all I need I guessā€¦.High at about 500 lumens should do for general everyday use!

At 2.8A on a XM-L2, should be more like 800 lumens, I would think?

Got an S2+ from GB. The light looks nice, but when I opened it up...I smelled...cheap! Aluminum pill w/ press fit driver retaining ring and an aluminum switch retaining ring also!!

Same here. I wonder what Simon has to say about these. Are they some kind of Convoy knockoff? Itā€™s supposed to have brass pill and retainer rings. The box is different and they sent me a cool white instead of a 4C neutral white.

Other colors would be niceā€¦ especially purple. Deep dark primary purple or dark magenta plum purple, not some light pastel shade. There are far too few purple lights in the world. And dark turquoise.

I have a red S2+ with a XP-G2 triple, 10508 optic, and FET+1 driver, and itā€™s one of my nicest lights. 0.3 lm on moon, 2250 lm on turbo. Great flooder, and the best biking light Iā€™ve ever tried. Iā€™d totally make more if it came in other good colors. :slight_smile:

Would also be nice to see a version designed to hold a triple without a spacer. It could be shorter, and the top of the pill would need to be flat instead of recessed, with a hole only in the center. Would probably also need the top of the pill to be a bit thicker.

Here's a pic of the driver on the $12.99 Red S2+ from GB, definitely looks press fit to me. It also pulled only 2.02A at the tail on a 25R...probably a 6*7135 configuration.

This is the old design, and the spring loks a lot cheaper than the ā€œoriginalā€.

I would contact Convoy and ask, if this is a fake or if they make those for resellers

What tint did you get? They were supposed to be 4C but they sent me a 1A.
