UPDATE - 07.07.15
Another update for you all, the machining is going great!
The only thing left to do is the battery tube. The one in the pictures below was only the first prototype which is why its not threaded fully in the neck and why the knurling/tailcap isn’t right. I think the rest of the light looks great though!! and look at that massive chunk of copper!!

UPDATE - 05.07.2015
Some more progress has been made with machining of the prototype. Rey is also working out the best way to utilise an EE X6 switch mechanism which will be better for the high current builds.
Some nice big chunks or copper ready to be turned into heatsinks…
First head being machined…
Finished head on the original X6 and the BLF Ti battery tubes…

UPDATE - 02/07/15
There are new spots available and it will be first in best dressed. In total there will be 10 lights made with trits in the head and tail and 8 lights made with just one trit in the tail and a smooth head. If people who are in the first list want to move to the 1 trit list I am happy to move you but once all spots are filled thats it… I can swap people around if they want to swap places etc. and if there are more people who want “no” trits we can possibly swap the list to 8 with and 10 without. Still working on the name and each light will get a production number 1/10 - 1/8 etc. not sure how we will write it yet.
The design of the light is progressing well. The design has been changed to a battery tube with separate tail cap rather than one piece like the BLF Ti so we can use an X6 switch which Rey is sourcing from EE. This will allow us to modify the switch for less resistance. A test of the knurling has been done as shown below, don’t worry about the fade out at the end of the knurling, the knurling will be finished by machining each end down. The tube is going to be 23mm diameter and the tailcap will be 25mm diameter. The limitation being the material is 25mm. The pill set up is similar to that of a C8 with a threaded neck and a one piece big copper pill which threads into the neck and has a pocket in the bottom for a 17mm driver. We are also looking into machining a lip under the bezel edge for retaining the oring
Anyway bear with us, we are working to make this as good as possible and are taking more time to make sure it comes out right.
Okay, so this is an updated render with a 24mm battery tube diameter (same as X6) and it has been shortened a little as the last one was longer than it should have been…
I’m not sure if the fins section should have a curved profile like the X6 or not. I kind of like them both ways. Also the gap at the head and bezel joint won’t be as pronounced as it looks. The will actually be hard up against each other like bezels usually are.
UPDATE - 04/06/2015
Rey has completed the first 3D drawings and personally I think they look great. One thing to mention is the size of the trit slots in the head isn’t confirmed yet as we are unsure of what sizes will be commonly available. So they may become a little smaller but this will be confirmed. However we are sticking with having 8 of them evenly spaced around the head.
Other than that I think it looks really good!

Hi all, I approached Rey a little while ago about making me a custom one off Ti light which is similar in proportions to the Eagle Eyes X6.
After some discussions we decided to do a limited run of 10 units only. This is due to a number of factors but in particular the cost of the material, the price of the light and it’s nice to have something which is a bit unique.
The concept for the light is to have a classic style with clean lines and it will essentially be a mix up of an EE X6, Tain Hyperlux and the current BLF Ti light which Rey is doing.
The design concept is to have a head with proportions and fins the same as the X6 but where the knurling is on the X6 it will be smooth with (12x2mm) trits positioned vertically around the head. It will utilise a pure copper pill which will be screwed in like a C8 set up (think Nitro/DBCstm X6 copper heatsink combined with a C8 pill) and will be designed to use a 32mm Triple Noctigon and Ledil Cute 3-up optic like we did with the X6. The switch will be the same as the current BLF Ti light and the battery tube will be a one piece 18650 version of the current BLF Ti light with the “corn” knurling centralised in the battery tube.
I know it probably is hard to picture at the moment, but if you imagine the lines and styling of an X6/Hyperlux with some tweaks to the design.
At this stage the host including the copper pill will be $150USD. Trits will be on top of this depending on the qty you would like. Rey also mentioned he should be able to get the 32mm triple noctigons and cute optics which would allow him to supply the host essentially ready to go minus the driver.
I hope to get a 3D render done soon so everyone can get a better idea of what the light will look like.
For now though, if you are keen to get your hands on one of these lights please post below and I will add your name to the list. Please only post if you genuinely interested as there is limited spots available.
Okay, so please only look at this as a concept as I just quickly sketched it on some graph paper and the “corn” knurling looks far more boxy than it should/would be. But this is the idea…
