This thread is for review request for batteries. This means:
LiIon batteries, i.e. 26650, 18650, 14500, 10440, 16340, etc.
NiMH batteries, i.e. AAA, AA, C and D
Alkaline/lithium batteries, i.e. AAA, AA, C, D and CR123
Sometime other batteries can also be accepted, but I do not really want to get into Li-poly batteries at the current time!
When posting a request, please post a link to where I can get it, i.e. a shop that ships to EU (This usual excludes US shops, due to the very high shipping prices on LiIon batteries).
It will usual be a few month from I order the battery, until I can publish a review. I do often have many batteries in queue.
My website with reviews of many chargers and batteries (More than 1000): https://lygte-info.dk/
I will look for/order the LG, Samsung, Sanyo and the AWT will be undecided for now.

10180 li-ion battery For DQG Spy
I will take a close look at Ikea and their shipping charges. Arrived
I will look at the shipping charge for Philips Lithium. I would like some more lithium types (AAA+9V), but I checked two other dealers and they did not ship to Denmark.

My queue of LiIon below 2800mAh is just about empty and I am looking for suggestions for batteries to test.
Note: I do still have some tested batteries that are not published yet.

Thanks HKJ. I look forward to ALL your test results.
With respect to you, This will be the only comment on any of these until your done testing!
I will say this about one of them N’Core 16340 NL166. From my own experience[piece of junk!] and a German company that tested it, I will be shocked if you get good results! Rated at 650mAh they got 18mAh actual capacity!

That was probably a faulty cell, I will not expect Nitecore to sell cells that bad (It might also be a fake Nitecore).
I hope these review request threads are going to make it easier for me to keep track of request and also make it easier for other people to see what is upcoming (It will not list everything I plan to review).

^^^^ Sorry,,I should have noticed this!
I was wondering why they did not use 2 cells like you. At the end they said,,,,,,
Despite the fact that the PCB didn’t trigger, this cell cannot handle the 2A currents we vapers need. Perhaps this test needs to be redone with fresh samples.

IKEA LADDA AAA NiMH
Edit: Sorry didnt noticed the other thread
Off topic, but IKEA now also have a 3 port USB charger Max 3400mAh total and max 2400mAh on single port, named KOPPLA. Maybe something for future testing? The price is 79 SEK or about 9 USD (actually it´s 9.99 on the US site)Thanks for all your work!
Kind regards
I can’t wait until you have reviewed these, because i have so far not bought a battery you haven’t checked out yet

LG INR18650 MJ1 3500mAh
Samsung INR18650-35E
LG INR18650MH1 3200mAh
Sanyo NCR18650GA 3.6V 3500 mAh
And because the Windyfire 14500 10A batteries was great, i am really curious about these……..
WindyFire IMR 18350 700mah 3.7v 10.5A
Windyfire IMR 18650 2500mah 3.6v 35A
I for one am more than willing to buy some cells and ship them to HKJ.
For example..
Tenergy 4/3 AF Size (18650) 3800mAh NiMH Rechargeable Battery
Titanium Innovations 4/3AF (18650) NiMH battery 4500mAh Flat Top
Tenergy 10511-0 NiMh Sub C Flat Top Batteries
We all know at least something about the name brand Li-Ion cells but know nothing about the NiMH in sizes normally found in Li-Ion cells.
The question I have is how many cells are needed for proper testing - 2?
It's the simple things that we take for granted that cost us the most

Yes, it is two cells. With AA/AAA it is often 4 cells, but that is only to get a picture of the package.
With unusual battery sizes I either has to make new test scripts or process them the same ways as a already defined size, for the above it would probably be fine to run them the same way as C cells.

I will not ask anything , I just want to thank you for your assistance and your trouble my friend.

These are very good at 4A they beat hands down the EFEST V1 14500 on my sample, as you stated in one post they are the same as yours windyfire, capacity it’s almost constant from 0.5A to 4A, i could not make a constant current discharge over this value, as I’m blocked by the 20W max discharge dissipating power of my charger
I have tested them, with my REAKTOR and they are very very good, if you wish I could publish some graphs
With those efest 26650 , capacity is well below their ratings(in my samples), even at low amps, If I recall correctly the 4200 it’s like about 3800mAh, and the 5200, has the same percentage of mismatched capacity
… if I have still the data of the fresh cells lying arond on my hard drive, I’ll publish it.
Hi HKJ, do you have anything you could review to help shed light on this thread regarding Protection IC added to stock 18650 manufacturer's cells.
http://budgetlightforum.com/node/40248
I've quoted my original OP below; I think many of us would be interested in a teardown of the quality and effectiveness of the retro-fitted protection circuits, as much as the cell efficiencies.
There is a lovely thread I found here by RMM of Mtn Electronics, for the protection circuits used by Keeppower (widely considered the gold-standard of Protected 18650 cells), http://budgetlightforum.com/node/26090
This is a teardown with pictures of the Panasonic NCR18650B cell as wrapped by Keeppower and EVVA; with the inclusion of their Seiko protection circuits and button-tops.
It would be great to see something similar with these 'stock' unbranded re-wraps, as obviously not all protections are made equal...
Hirsh
Not at the current time.
I have tested some protections, but did not open the batteries to take photos of the circuit board.
http://lygte-info.dk/info/DischargeProtectionTest%20UK.html
Even if the used chip is good, it do not necessary make the protection good. Each chip exist in lot of models, each with slightly different parameters and only some fits a typical LiIon cell.
You could take a chip with one parameter set and it would be very good for a 3 transistor driver, but the same chip with another parameter set would not be good for 3 transistor, only for 1 transistor.

any better than energizer lithiums?
hope you can test these out

Soshine is already in queue, I bought them from fasttech. ebay.

Thanks
+1 on the Soshine 26650 5500mAh, they seem really good from n10sivern’s test of them. If you could i would be very interested in the performance both with the protection & with the protection removed.
And @ DX you can find them much cheaper than that https://www.msitc-shop.com, that was just ridiculous expensive for a single 26650 battery………
And +1 on the green Efest 26650 4200mha battery, Mitko’s testhas indicated that it is possible the strongest in single 18650/26650 batteries 5-7A flashlight applications of any high drain battery with a DD driver & full round of low resistance mods
and even stronger than the Efest purple 26650 4200mha & Efest purple 26650 3800mha.
I don’t want to miss out on any of your future tests, so wonder if you maybe could have a mailing list or something similar, so we can get a heads up when you have published new tests.
I can’t find them @ fasttech?
Can you give me a link to them.
You are correct, I just saw the white label on the envelope, but it was not a fasttech label.
I got them from ebay.

Would you mind taking a look at a protected version of the Sanyo 18650GA battery as well?
Like keeppower bought from Nkon?
Thanks
I can’t find them on ebay either……the only 5500mha 26650 battery i find on ebay is TangsFire
