I received mine yesterday. It looks great! I ran it for about 30sec on an enerloop. It actually looked brighter than claimed but I didn't test or check current.
Next to its cousins. Copper Maratac 123/w 4.5a Qlite and dedomed 219C, and the stock alu TOOL.
Look what I got!
New driver assembled...
About 1/4 in thick heatsink made from and old a/c refrigerant pipe. I think it was 5 pieces soldered together then massaged to fit. I later soldered it to the inside of the pill and drilled the thru holes.
I stopped taking pictures after that but I dedomed the 219C and got it all put together. It's as bright as my A6 in 6th gear so it's 800+ lumens with an efest IMR10440.
The little bugger gets hot quick on high but really tame in the lower modes. The beam is a little tighter with the dedomed emitter and it is amazing to be able to light up the backside of my yard with this tiny thing.
I'm gonna transplant it's driver and emitter into my alu TOOL later on and get rid of that awful tinted (to me) XPG2 it has.
I hope everyone enjoys their new Reylight as much as I do.
That is a gorgeous light. I am happy for you, but unfortunately I'm still waiting. I'm not complaining, just excited. Without evening being in my hands yet, this might be my favorite light.
Just got mine. Very impressive. Awesome light. Will check levels tonight. Thanks for making this happen Rey! Engraving is a bit big but nice to show that it’s a special.
I just got mine also. Tiny beauty, a real quality light. Does not really justify the regular 60USD price though, so I double the thank you-s for Rey here
The battery on my phone will now get a decent break. Honestly, I was checking my tracking details every few hours or so, hoping for an update.
I am 100% pleased with this light. A polished light in every aspect in my opinion. Ironically, going from polished to tarnished copper is actually a positive thing.
Thanks Rey for all your work on this for the group. This is one time I wish I had to go to work tomorrow, just to have the opportunity to show it off.
Coincidently mine arrived yesterday matching Gunga and Bigwood. Customs and Canada Post are fair. Thanks Rey for making this excellent light. This is my first tool and the clicky button is worth the inability to tail stand.
