Not sure if people already knew this or not, but after having much trouble finding decent torches in camping stores etc. I have found that Jaycar Electronics actually have some decent ones (from what I can tell).
Oh ok, I had wondered how good they actually were. Cheers for the heads up.
Any way to get any discount from liteshop? I’ve found hkequipment, on ebay and the site, but they are only like $5 cheaper, in which case I’d rather just get them from an official Australian dealer in case anything goes wrong.
I’m after a couple of ThruNite TN4A HI’s
Cheers
With Dick Smith closing down they have some really good prices on NiMh cells, 60-80% off. Unfortunately all the Eneloop and Fujitsu cells were long gone at the Mentone store.
An 8 pack of Eneloop Tones was $8.00, and the Eneloop Family Pack with charger was $12.00
Mentone did have a lot of the DS branded LSD NiMh in AAA, AA, C and D. I grabbed a 4 pack of the D cells to have a play with, I don’t have a lot of faith in them at only 6000mAh, but at $2.5 a cell they’re worth trying in the stock 3xD mag.
I recently purchased two Dick Smith alkaline carry case containing 14xAAAs, 12xAAs, 4xCs, 4x Ds for $5.50 (originally over $40). I would have paid the reduced price just for the battery case. Grab them whilst you still can!!
I didn’t see any of those, only the smaller pack with 6xAA, 6xAAA, 2xC and 1xD for $2.60. I was tempted but couldn’t see any point in a case with a spot for 1 D cell.
If I happen to be driving past a different store I might have a look.
yea i went up the coast fishing and checked a few dickies found some eneloops but i paid $13 for the 8 pack chocolate AAA and i got as family pack for $15 i posted it on ozbargain…
There’s some variation with the Apple phone and ipad chargers. I don’t know where it begin and ends, but check the charger itself. Some only supply 1a (I think aimed at older iphones) and some 2.1a (for newer iphones and ipads).
Thanks guys, yeah I should have mentioned it has to deliver 2.1A as a minimum. I’ll have to check my Apple chargers to see what they deliver. I also thought Apple might have had some kind of restriction or coding somehow on their adaptors to stop it working with other electronics.

Not light related and I’m unsure when it ends but $299 bandsaw selling for $129.
Apparently price matching Aldi on a bandsaw they have but this one has a stronger motor and 2 years warranty.
Not too many left - my local stores out after I got mine.
Bunnings do their prices different for different areas too - on special afaik in NSW and Victoria only.
Hey guys this is a good deal i think if you are looking for a drill. My Ryobi is still good but i have been looking for an impact driver but i also want a multi tool thing… so either i will buy this pack or buy the Triton XT pack! Might i add i need a reciprocating saw to cut branches but i think a mains powered one would be better. So either a second drill or a impact driver to use when i am building and moding lights.
