For those unsure about modding their BLF X5 Cu/Al, Mark from cutterelectronics (welight) just confirmed the production of the new Copper DTP 20mm MCPCB in both quad and triple configurations, and will be available through Richard’s store!!
This is huge news since the original quad mcpcb made by dsche is no longer available anywhere. They will be compatible with the existing carclo 4-up 24mm optic. If enough people join this GB it should make it easier for nitro to produce a batch of heatsinks.
Not to sure about that. The S2 is just pieces cut from a threaded rod all one diameter with no steps and just occasionally drilling the center and parting off. Probably do 3-4 at a time. Much smaller rod stock to begin with as well.
I’ll be in for something if we could figure out what it is.
Let’s see, spacers for convoy S series tube lights seem to be pretty well covered by various members.
X6 triples and quads seem to be hot builds, and host is readilly available.
X5 is limited as there is no available host to purchase.
If anyone could find a host that the 24” Carlco quad optic fit into, that would be the next hot build. The same goes for the 35mm Ledil triple/quad if someone came up with a host other than the X6.
M2 seems to be best host for 26.5mm single optics.
There was one more host for 35mm triple. It looked very similar to C8, just a little smaller and had exactly 35mm bezel hole with 40mm head OD.
It is hard to find them now.
Founded, it called C2. Not sure that somebody like it while X6 is available, but I like surefire tail style.
The main problem in X6 triple transformation is PCB size. Not many BLF-members have lots of tools and enougth time to make some machanics work.
So it would be better to find out host that would have enought place for 32mm PCB without grinding.
