Yeah I will probably buy as this light looks great, tint is the only negative. Not sure I will be able to resist long unless a NW/WW is in the very near future.
Hmmm a C8 in that clear anodization would be nice too!

And of course with the XPL-HI, black switch, black clip. at least that’s my vision for it. Hoping to work out a slightly improved driver first though. I haven’t announced that one yet as it’s too early. Dang. I just said it didn’t I?
Grab your S2 and then take the paint of using some thing none abrasive better of soaking it in water and an additive so the anodizing comes of then you whip out the rotary tool and some polish! or if Simon makes it bare it makes it easier but you will have to polish every so often….
I believe this is clear coat anodizing. It will be the same as black anodizing but clear which would mean no polishing. It’s not like bare aluminum.

I would like to see Simon come out with a Red Blue and Green L6? Full colors and then “Maybe” with a twist to it, Custom if you will? Like a Black bezel Green Head with a black switch and Green battery tube and Black tail cap? In Red and Black, Blue and Black or even Black and Tan too? How about mix and match to order? A totally hot rod modded custom colored torch? Wonder if anybody would be interested in something like this, I know I would!
I’d be interested in a neutral tint L6 with desert tan and black coloring, tan being the predominant color. But I’d also be just fine with all black if it had a NW emitter.
I’ve made sure Simon is very well aware of our desire for neutral emitters. He’s checking with a supplier in Hong Kong to see if he can get some. Some of the more desired Cree emitters are not as easily acquired as they should be.
On a more positive note I can you all a bit about the driver.
4 modes plus a hidden strobe. It will have mode memory. Current controlled modes. No PWM.
Mode settings are:
Low – 50mA
Med – 200mA
High – 1700mA
Turbo – 5000mA
Hidden strobe – activate by a quick double tap on the side switch.
Early tests show it may be hitting a bit higher than the “official” numbers :sunglasses:
No way I’d ever buy a light with all those mixed colors! It’d look like it was pieced together from spare parts, a garbage can light. 
I’m sure others will like it because it’s different, but it’s not for me.

I have quite a few XHP70 lights and with pretty much every Bin and tint, and shaved and non shaved, and I can’t think of one that I have that would or could compare to a MTG-2? To me the MTG-2 is the King of Neutral Beauty! So define Neutral White? The supposedly neutral XHP70’s out there are usually lower bin and lower out put, and in a OP reflector just seem kinda blah? That’s why I like the smooth reflector, and my emitters shaved of the higher bin, more throw and tends to warm them up a bit, but nothing close to a MTG-2? So I guess throw a MTG-2 in it??
The 96 CRI XHP-70 in my Intimidator way outperforms an MT-G2 and is just as pretty or more so. But I still highly favor my 10 or 11 MT-G2 lights and my triple 9V MT-G2 BTU Shocker is a personal favorite.
So yeah, I think the L6 with an MT-G2 would be freaking awesome! (The L2 is, so why not?)
Dale dome on right? I shaved the same one down and it’s in one of my SD75’s, in the case sitting on the shelf! I didn’t like it much out of the OP reflector, but then again the SD75 Op reflector was not half as good as the Crelant 7G10 or the S70 quality wise! But I live in the city so I need brute force to compete with all the street lights and all the ambient lighting that’s around, it never really gets dark out where I live? I have to be able to see whats in their hands not how vivid the color of the clothes look at night? Just kidding! I really need to move out to the country, meh some day!
