Maybe I’ll share this one.

This build is going to be the ducks guts. Love your builds RBD. While your helping others here can I have that piece of wood?

looking forward to this

That’s a beautiful chunk of wood you’ve got there. Amboyna burl? Or perhaps Redwood?

Bushwood. Seriously it’s from some unknown root ball I found on the beach. I’d like to find out. You can buy resin impregnated wood blanks for turning but I haven’t seen one like this. I don’t know if I’ll use this one or not but I like how it finishes.

Looks very interesting. Good luck in the comp!

Hand made?

Yes

So I cant have it? The piece of wood that is.

I’ve got wood too… :innocent:

Good luck with the build!

We all have wood. :person_facepalming:

I went and got my own. I dont think RBD wants to give his away. Looks good for something that came of the beach. The grain looks amazing.

Aha, people all pay attention to the wood. Looks great. Look forward to the finished product.

Cool! “Found” wood is always the best — it’s wood with a story

Man, that is a real beautiful piece of wood there (not trying to pun). If anyone can do it justice, it’s RBD. Best wishes.

Too many wooden one liners here, waiting for someone to use them.

As always, I look forward especially, to your builds, as I know just how much labor of love you put into them.

I’m sure SB appreciates our restraint. Besides, in this high tech age, hardware sees more action than good ole’ wood. :person_facepalming:

New stuff in op.

Your one up on me with a reciprocating saw. its good to see you make a start RBD. No doubt I’ll be lost with the next instalment. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m the one that got lost.
