But look at the website’s slogan. The keyword there is ‘frugal’. If, I wanted a TR-J18 I would’ve wanted a used one to be cheaper than any new one I was buying.

I don’t know if you have ‘swap-meets’ where you live, but where I live (melbourne) we have them every fortnight.
Being 17 years old, most of the vendors think I know nothing and (the ones that sell flashlights) try to scam me (or probably they know nothing and they bought it for a high price). I saw an X2000 zoomie being sold for $35.
So your best best is to sell it to people that don’t know any better (if it doesn’t clash with your ethics of knowingly overpricing something).
But personally, I’d never be able to overprice my items, since I want to introduce as many people as possible to the torch world.
