Missent Package

Has this happened to you? I live on Long Island New York and my package ends up in Puerto Rico. How is that possible?

lol. :D

Incredible! Good luck!

Hopefully it gets redirected to me! lol!

I ordered a flashlight from Hong Kong, it went to New York then Sydney then New york a few days later and then got to the UK.

I’ve also had stuff take 8 internal flights in the US before it got to the UK.

I even had an “out for delivery” in New York then it was “collected” again and ended up in good old blighty!

and USPS wonders why they're having financial problems lol!

It was so close! Cry

I’ve had packages that went for vacation to Indonesia and Thailand first before making their way here… got the customs mark and missent stamp to prove it. And that’s just the packages that decided not to stay there. Wonder where stuff that didn’t come at all actually went to.

Anyhow, seems it’s not that uncommon.

I had one go to California and never return.

A package I sent to friend in NJ traveled to several other cities in NJ before it got to the right address. I would have given them the benefit of doubt if it had been my handwriting on the label, but it was a printed Click & Ship label.

It has also happened with UPS.

I guess I'm lucky. I have only lost one package to date; it wasn't tracked either so I have no idea where it ended up. It was a single large tritium marker I had ordered, so it was a very small parcel. The seller re-shipped with no questions, and I received the replacement, but waited for ages in hopes that the second one would show up some day, but it never did.

Lol
A package from a “large torch brand” meant for me went to someone in New Jersey.
I’m in Australia.
They sent the wrong tracking number !

The number enabled us to get the recipients name, address, phone number, google gave more such as his profession, workplace, some correspondence etc. I didn’t check facebook.

A lot of personal information just from a tracking number.

Do not publish tracking numbers !

Amelicans, u all look same to us, crose enuff

Hi Glenn, about 4 months ago I found an old Homart flashlight on Ebay I’ve been wanting. I was supposed to get it in 2 days from Florida to Long Island. It ended up exactly where your package was sent. It finally took 2 months before it eventually showed up at my house. Long, long overdo, but totally safe and in great condition. If you go to the post office, they’ll likely tell you to just wait for it. It would be a good idea to hold onto the tracking and take a look at it once in a while to see when they re-redirect it back to where it’s supposed to go. Good luck with it, sorry this happened.

Hey Richie, nice talking to you earlier. I'm not too worried. It was a cheap ebay purchase (magnets). I sent a message to the seller, just waiting for a response.. If I dont hear anything, or get my package in 30 days, I'll file a claim with paypal.

I got packages from China after ~3 months I really wonder how many times did they go around the globe since packages of same type and size from China can also arrive in 7 days.

Now I’m waiting for another two, small packages again. The smaller the worse!

How did your end up there?
Sorting facility, machine stuck it into a wrong box/container and it got sent on a holiday to Puerto Rico! I hope it was a camera and will come back to you full of holiday pictures

The funny thing is my package was in New York's customs a couple of days ago, not that far from where I live. A $4 item will end up costing USPS who knows what. No wonder they're having financial difficulties..

Hmmm, were they very powerful magnets mate? I wonder if they affected the planes compass perhaps?…

I got one package, the most expensive light I have yet bought, that looked like it had been run over by the courier van. I refused to accept it, and am waiting on a replacement.

One package with two lights never arrived, another was sent to replace it.

Most of mine have arrived in reasonable time and condition. If only they could talk though.

Everything with a knife in it gets opened and inspected by customs. So far, they haven’t nicked anything. At least they get here.

Every now and then you see a story on the news a about some letter from 50 years ago finally getting delivered. Only 49 more years to go Glenn

The magnets might have thrown off their compass :)

Hey Glenn,

Yeah, great talking to you as well.

It’s that BETHPAGE, NY facility that screws everything up. That’s the place that sent mine to where your packaging is visiting too now…
