26650 batteries?

I’m in need of some good 26650 batteries for my Keygos M10 and my DQG 26650.
Found these on ebay INR26650
Could those be good or is it better to buy Sony or Keeppower at Wallbuys at almost twice the price?
If you have links to alternative places to buy you should know that it has to offer shipping to Sweden without getting to expensive.

I would go for xtars, but you might consider ordering a bit more stuff, cuz the postage is around 15€.

I had to do a bit of research before I went and purchased them, but I have bought the exact same ones, but four of them from these guys:

They’re the same as the King Kong’s being sold previously by Int’l Outdoor and FastTech. The only difference is that these ones continue to have the Chinese writing on them, whereas from the other places, they specifically say King Kong. I have yet to receive the cells yet, but at AU$30 and free postage, it’s a steal. As I am planning to use these in series, I will be soldering a small nut on top of the positive end as it is a flat top.

Can you test the capacity when you recieve them and post the results here? Thanks

In Italy, now, they have this offer: 26650 with PCB, but I do not know the postage.

Those are probably fake king kongs, rewraped ultrafires

Their Swiss-Japanese brand Tensai cells are made in China, quote: "Together with it's own production line in China, Tensai is able to deliver high quality, cost efficient products anyaware in the world."

China can offer amazing quality and most top brands in the world manufacture there (e.g. Apple) but this was regarding the German production.

When it comes to Li-ions. Buy the best and forget the rest. Sony US26650VT for 26650 or just buy Panasonic NCR 18650 batteries and use a sleeve. There's a lot of Panasonics in the NCR category, protected and not protected. That is yours to decide, but they are the best Li-ions I have used.

I’am with OL, for your own safety buy the best proven cell you can find. They are worth the extra couple of dollars you will spend. The 4000mah MNKE IMR-26650 or OL’s Sony US26650VT would be a good choice in 26650 size.
You never know what you will get with certain brand cells. Have you seen this type of counterfeit 18650 battery before? UltraFire

I would personally order these myself. Although I do have both gold inr26650 cells that have been great and trustfire flame 26650 cells, I think the risk of fake 26650 cells is much lower since there are far few uses for them compared to 18650 cells.

That being said, akkuteile is a reputable shop selling within the eu, I would think you’d be safe with any of their cells simply because they are under a lot more scrutiny than stores operating out of China.

TF black flames as you can see on the akkuteile, they are marked 5000mAh, of course they don’t have that but are around 4400mAh or 4200mAh, perform well. Tested them too, can find it in reviews or reviews of others. Got them from FastTech, they mark them as 4000mAh.

Have them for Keygos M10 as well.

Dunno why people buy the king kongs.

Because the KingKongs are able to give you the Amps you need for a lot of light (Multi-Emitter lights like the TR-J18)

I have both - 4 KingKongs and 2 TF “5000mAh”.
I usualy use the TF - because of the circuit and the security.
But I need the KingKongs fpr this monster: https://www.fasttech.com/p/1398602
With resistor-mod this light pulls 7Amps out of each battery.

I disagree.King kongs, trustfires and other proven cells have more capacity than panasonics, but more important is,they hold voltage much higher during discharge and they run cooler at 5+ Amps.Sony is low capacity-high drain cell, not really best choice for <10amp applications.

I have got over 6 amps out of these.

P.S: My DQG 26650 pulls over 6 amps on Turbo …

Just got mine in the mail today. This is how they turned out.

I am slightly disappointed that it didn’t have any Chinese writing on them as per the pics shown on their eBay page, so I am not 100% sure if these, are in fact, King Kongs. The only positive I can see from this is that, as per the second pic above, there is an ever so slightly raised positive end. This does allow the cells to be run in series without the need for anything done to them (confirmed by putting them in series, then testing with a multimeter). When they arrived, I did test them out to be around the 3.8v area.

I just finished cycle testing 4 King Kong 26650’s over the last week.

Rated cap is 4000mah the very worst battery did 4477mah and the best did 4600mah!

Testing was done at 500 ma 700ma & 1amp discharge rates on a Hobbico Accu-Cycle Elite Pro Series charger. Charge/discharge cycle was run 5 times on each battery. Batteries were charged to 4.2 volts and discharged to 3.0 volts

B1 4477mah

B2 4487mah

B3 4587mah

B4 4600mah

My TF 26650 flames sag pretty bad voltage wise under load compared to the king kongs.

Rod911,

Those look like King Kongs to me. I don't remember Chinese writing on all of mine, but I'd have to check again.

Between my unprotected KingKong ICR26650 and E-Moli 40A IMR26700, my FourSevens protected 26650 outdoes them both every time.

The King Kong 26650 I got from fancy flash have the Chinese writing that apparently translates to “king kong” or it might be “silly American” :stuck_out_tongue:
