Want to Borrow: 25/32 drill bit

Mods, please move if in the wrong section, or delete if inappropriate.

I want to do Match’s 15 minute mini mag mod. I cannot find a 25/32 drill bit locally, and would rather not buy a one time use drill bit. So, if any of you guys have one laying around and would let me borrow it, I will gladly pay for shipping via paypal. And in return, I will include some 17mm neon green tailcap buttons and o rings when I return the bit. Please pm me if you are willing to loan a tool. Thank you.

P.S. I am located in North Carolina.

Found one on Amazon

I found them online as well. Just would rather borrow one since I’ll only use it.once.

Famous Last Words! When your friends or family see what you’ve done, it won’t be long before you’ll be needing it again.

(and the $15.00 Amazon one won’t exceed the cost of shipping alone by too much, AFAIK…)

Just my 2-cent prediction…

PS: a BLF photo-documentary would be awesome!

I generally try to find any excuse to buy more tools.

I’d say just buy it. Borrowing sounds like more trouble than it’s worth. Also I’m not sure anyone would want to trust you since you haven’t been around that long. Maybe you can offer a deposit if you must borrow it.

I don't know about you guys, but I don't lend tools to anybody. I've had too many bad experiences like not getting them back, or not getting them back in the same condition before I lent them out.

after seeing your immaculate workbench-drawers, I would not be brave enough to borrow a tool from you, too much responsibility!

Smart man :) lol!

Why not use a standard 3/4" bit. You can get the extra 1/32" by fudging with it.

I've done it numerous times.

i don’t like loaning things either for the exact same reason, i don’t get why people feel free to damage destroy other people’s property but they do

I loaned my brother in law my pressure washer a few years ago and got it back with a damaged pump. He said it was working fine when he retuned it to me. It cost me $200 to get the pump repaired. He never offered to pay me. Needless to say when he called me 2 weeks ago to borrow one of my ladders, I told him to f**k off. I haven't spoken to him since.

Id find it easier to lend my wife than tools…

did you remind him why you said no?

I loaned my only 55W halogen flashlight with charger and explicit instructions (back when i had one light), i got it back a few months later with a dead battery and lame excuses (and no reimbursement), since then i don’t loan lights or anything else, i was thinkign of getting a pressure washer and i know someone who would want to borrow it the minute he realizes i own one, i will offer to go to his place and clean his deck for him but i would never allow him to borrow and use it on his own (he has done me a few favours (not loans) and will feel offended that i won’t just loan something but you have summed up the hazards well)

i wonder how your wife would find it (are you married and does she read BLF)?

No …and no.

But Ive been with the same gal for 26 years. I never said I would lend her, just that it would be easier to do. But Im guessing she might find it refreshing… and Id need a new cook. And thats not happening, shes a good cook.

Please explain the distinction

Climb Mt Everest
Climb the Murderhorn

I wont do either, but one is going to be easier than the other.

However, the real distinction is which bed Id be sleeping in, mine, or the dogs.

No one wants my wife so she wont leave as she doesn't want to see me happy.

If you factor in the after effects does it still seem the easier path?
