Not great, but ok for an Amazon deal BUT… reading up on the IU on this listing- it sounds like the EDC18L lost Anduril. Also a quick check on Lumentop’s site doesn’t show an EDC18 (any version).

I have the EDC18 with the XPL-Hi emitters and it’s a super cool little light with Anduril (and has the rabbit!). I’d ask the seller about Anduril before buying- a good maker in any case but wondering if it’s being phased out?

It looks suspicious to me anyway.

Good luck!

It's a decent deal for sure. That's exactly what I paid back in June 2020, here on Amazon. But of course mine was the full deal - Anduril and rabbit.

Think EDC18L is for the Limited edition.

With the glow gasket and battery (if a true 35E as pictured) included, it's a very good deal. Neal charges $12 for the gasket alone.

How is the UI on the EDC18L?

No idea, maybe no one out there does. I don't see any other info on it, anywhere. It's not on the Lumintop website: https://lumintoplighting.com/

I don't know if you can assume it works like some other flashlight. It's their attempt to dump Anduril because of it's complexities.

"Lumintop EDC18L" probably has same user interface as "Lumintop FW3EL"

I do not have either but from Amazon reviews for the FW3EL:

CLICK from OFF for LOW

CLICK while ON to cycle LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH

HOLD while ON to turn light OFF

Two hidden modes: "HOLD from OFF for MOONLIGHT", "DOUBLE CLICK from OFF for HIGH"

I do not know if the light has MEMORY

How many flashlights does a "real man" need?

None, real men are not afraid of the dark.

EDC18L is indeed nice light I took advantage of the deal.

35E is legit.

Nice, floody hi cri.

Glow gasket and diffuser nice additions.

I have several Anduril lights which are great but I also enjoy simpler interfaces such as the UI on this light. It does indeed have memory, but can go straight to moon or turbo from off so versatile in that regard.

A nice light and not finicky like FW3A.

Does it hit 2800lemons? Or even 2000?

Not liking the reviews’n‘ratings…

Looks nice, 4000K Neeches like my TO46Rs, but dunno what differentiates the ’18L from that.

It says Camillus is the Mfg. No material callout and no lanyard attachment point or bottle opener. I’m in for 2 anyway, picture looks like stainless. Thanks!

No way it hits 2800 maybe more like 1500 but it is a broader, smoother beam. Neutral, without the hint of rosiness I see in the TO46R.

On the plus side, it is about an inch shorter, and has a deep carry clip.

It really seems like a nice deal with the added quality cell, glo-gasket and diffuser.

The TO46R is one of my favorite lights. Love the 2-button ergonomics and tint.

Saw reviews of the non-L version (XP-Ls, I think), and “turbo” lasts all of like 5sec before it drops down to a fraction of peak, and only 800lm or so at the 30sec mark.

Meh. Think I’ll pass. Got too many ~1500lm lights, don’t need any more.

Amazon has the Streamlight Jr 71500 double AA flashlight for $18.51. It seems like a deal. I have a Sofirn SF13 , would this be much of an improvement quality wise?

Tenergy 2500mah Ni-Mh $15 for 12pc

Thanks for posting this Amazon "Lightning Deal" (about 80 minutes left to get this deal). There was also a Lightning Deal for the 24 pack ($27.99) with a slightly less price per cell that also included 6 battery cases so I went with that deal.

I have never used the Tenergy NiMH batteries (made in China) and for approximately half the price, I will be interested in seeing how they perform compared to the Energizer, Ladda, and Eneloops (all made in Japan) that I am currently using.

I will be torture testing these batteries in my wife's decorative string light arrangements and fake candles which have batteries configured in series with no low voltage protection and when the lights stop working (besides having very low voltages) sometimes one of the batteries in series has also temporarily reversed its voltage.

Good luck, I hope yours hold out better than the Tenergy AAA I picked up a couple years ago. Mine don’t hold a charge very well, my Panasonic and Fujitsu (Eneloop) chargers now refuse to charge them, and my Vapcell S4+ shows they have an internal resistance that’s off the charts (literally: the display maxes out at 999mOhm).

Still not as good as Eneloops, but I’ve had much better luck with the EBL cells.

I don’t know if Amazon is becoming more like Ali Express or the other way around.

At least it's encouraging that you did not report any leaking (my biggest concern).

I'm testing these Tenergy NiMH batteries made in China just to satisfy my curiosity.

The NiMH batteries made in Japan that we currently use still work OK after about two dozen charge cycles from very low voltages, even with some of the cells at a negative voltage when first taken out of the string lights and fake candles. None have leaked or caused any adverse problems while in use or while charging.

Yup, never seen any leakage. They’ve done no damage, mine just haven’t held up well.
