Interest in Intl-Outdoors 32mm Noctigon 4x XP-G , *Hank is going with a second run, YAY!*

Hey All,

I’ve recently discovered that the 32mm copper Noctigon with 4x XP-G footprint fits in an Eagle Eye X6 light. When paired with the Ledil CUTE-3 35mm optics it’s a serious bit of flashlight hardware!
I’m talking about a 3up XP-L that makes over 3300 lumens OTF on a Sony VT C5 cell or equivalent.

Well, lo and behold Intl-Outdoors didn’t find this to be a big seller, perhaps with the advent of the big copper stars available from MAXToch this 32mm Noctigon got overlooked. I originally bought this for the center contact in order to modify a TK-61 using the XP-L. Has anyone else had any dealings with this big star?

I’ve talked to Hank and they are not planning on making any more of these. So if I can find some interest, he will consider a second run.

Anybody interested a Triple 35mm at 3300+ Lumens?

As you can see, this is installed in my BLF Special Edition X6 that, as a sample light, was tested and abused. Smile The Ledil Cute-3 optics fit over the domed XP-L emitters and are available in Soft Spot, and Wide versions…21º vs 42º as I understand it. I’ve got the SS on the light and it’s a big flood of nice light. ( I used XP-L V4 3D emitters) I’ve got a wide version coming to be able to compare the beam profile for a friend that rides mountain bikes.

The purpose here is to determine an interest in this 32mm Noctigon, in order to get Hank to do another run. What do y’all think?

interesting. That center pad opens up a lot of possibilities with the right driver.

Already have a ledil cute-3 optic and was planning on picking up a few of those boards once I found a proper host. Now you’re telling me they are discontinued?

Let’s hope for another run. I am interested.

I’ll commit to 10 set’s (20 boards) right now and maybe more. I had no idea there were limited or I would of stocked up.

Both pukelight and EA41_CK REQUIRE these. Hank, PLEASE make more. I’m using my last one next week.

Awesome !!!
Do you think that is too much for the flashlight? In a few seconds longer has to be hot.
Of all the amps in turbo mode?

Guys if you have any you can spare please LMK right away. This literally couldn’t have put me in a worse spot. On Monday my 40 heatsink’s get delivered (cost me $10/ea) and tho the optic would work with individual boards the HS will NOT, it’s designed specifically for these boards.

Wtb here:
http://budgetlightforum.com/node/35304

Dale sorry to use your thread as a personal WTB but to a small start-up like me a $400 loss will kill me.

I don’t mean to be so negative but I’m pissed, they gave no warning this was a single run- if they don’t do another run and I’m screwed on this (and I can even continue with KillerLumens at all after a loss like this, I mean $400 is half my family’s monthly house payment wasted now) I will NEVER buy from I-O again in my life and I will switch completely to sinkpad for all my other MBPCB’s needs. It should of been announced months ago this was a limited thing.

Dale please express my extreme dissatisfaction to them on this matter.

I was pretty shocked to find these Noctigon’s not available, so yeah, really trying to get Hank to do another run of em as they seriously fill the bill for a superb triple option.

Just an FYI to all- these were sold in pairs (as with all their noctigons) for $5/ea ($10/pair).

I would definitely be interested! Hank, if you make it, there will be demand! There are quite a few lights that can utilize these parts.

Nice find Dale!

Very surprised the 32mm Noctigons have been ceased. I just ordered a pair a few nights ago.

Notwithstanding CK’s project & other custom projects, with so many people getting the Courui, & now to find that the 32mm boards fit in the EEX6, I would imagine demand would be there for these.

Damn, I was was going to get some of these for a few ideas I’ve had and actually try have a go at modding a couple of old lights, I’m interested in at least 2 maybe 3 pairs. Had not even noticed they’d sold out.

I hope Hank can be convinced to put these back on his inventory.

I didn't order these before because I didn't know what to use it in. Now I know, and it's not available. Sad

The low mode should be lower.

Now that I’ve calmed down some (tho still not found a suitable alternative to be able to continue the use of my heatsink’s) I really can not see how these get dropped but those stupid 4 XB / MT-G2 center boards are a higher priority than these, dump those things… There are no optic’s that thing fit’s and nothing that the quad pad’s are really good for, these boards are useful for TONS of stuff.

Should have ordered when I had the chance, I also was thinking in getting one for a TN-31 to try a XP-L led, but now that you found other uses for it, would like to get a couple too.

Anyone have one to spare?

Please update my interest to 40 boards (20 set’s), no reason to buy fewer than I have heatsink’s for and risk this happening again.

Glad it’s working out. I’m in for at least one if your selling, otherwise it’s a build for me. I’ve got 3 already lined up in the group buy so gutting 1 or 2 sounds about right. Now if only in a 26650 form.

Hi Dale, is spacer required for Eagle Eye X6, Ledil CUTE-3 35mm optics and Noctigon 35mm combo? Any other mod required?

Ledil Cute-3 is 15mm tall, X6 reflector is 24mm, LED shelf recess on the X6 is ~2mm, so about 10-11mm on the spacer…
