eCig users - Post your happy vape

i know there are atleast a few ecig users here. im curious to what your happy vape is, and what setup got you to quit smoking

what got me to initially quit was an ego battery with a low resistance atomizer. dripping. then i got a prodigy v3 6v mod. also dripping

lately i have been using cartomizers, and have been pleasantly surprised at the quality in them now, over when i first tried one. i had just got the dual coil xl ego cartos, and wow. brought my egos back to life. i highly recommend them to any vaper

anyways

my best vape was my prodigy v3 @ 6v, standard 801 atty, and cashcap, dripping...

lately i have been using the prodigy with standard cartos (what ever batter style i have) with dekang ry4 and tobacco 36mg

now i have been using the ego with the dual coil xl cartos, dekang tobacco 36mg all morning, and its putting up a good battle against my $120 prodigy, at about $20 for the ego battery and carto. but i need the durable prodigy at work

lets hear your best vape, favorite juice, and most used set ups... maybe we can convert some smoking flashaholics to vaping flashaholics

I started off on the "X4" ecig you can buy in gas stations. I tried it and was pleasantly surprised.

After those carts wore out i went online and started searching around for a new setup. Found out the most common was the 510 so i got a 510 starter kit from nhaler(had a sale at the time) and vaped that for months. Finally i got to my current setup which is a couple Ego batteries.

I typically use cartomizers, i've tried the atomizer and cartridge setup but really i just don't like it, they leak ect... Sometimes i do drip the attys though.

Today i just got an ego XL dualcoil in the mail from madvapes. Looking forward to trying it out, but read some places that the mosfet driven ecigs can burn out on dual coils. Guess i'll just try it and see what happens!

My everyday vape is Red bull, for whatever reason, i just love the stuff. I usually carry a few carts with me for the day and i'll have one red bull, one tobacco and then one of whatever else i am trying.

I have been looking into 18650 based mods lately but i am not interested in dropping $100+ on a mod. If you have any suggestions on what to look into, i'd appreciate it! Just like my flashlights, i want to be able to find replacement parts for my mod.

If you don't want to spend big bucks on an 18650 mod you can get a Chuck or the Gold Rush mod. Both pretty user serviceable with minimal technical know how. I had to replace the switch on my Chuck once.

Lets see...

I have a Precise, Chuck (big and little), Silver Bullet, Omega, a couple of Screwdrivers, Adaptever, Rough Stack, and a few homemade box mods. I use them all at 3.7v with regular atties 510,4075's.

For the last year I have been vaping my own mixes of juice, Chai Tea is my current go-to vape

which precise? those are nice mods. you could also check ECFs market for a used mod, im not sure whats out there for 18650s as im more into 6v

I have the P18 with 18650's. I used to have a P10 but the battery life was horrible (10440). The P18 is really nice but one thing you need to watch out for is what battery you use in it. My Xtars and some TF flames will not fit. It is Precise in it's measurements.

i had lookd at them quite a lot. thats the one i almost got, but ki ended up with the pure smoker prodigy v3.1

Using an eGo-T set up and Dekang juices.

Aussie laws don't allow the sale of nicotene juices domestically, but you can import them.

wanted to get this back up to the top. we got a lot of new members now, and im sure a lot more vapers.

lately, im still using my prodigy v3.1 at 6v, but i have been using smoktech dual coil 2.0 ohm cartos and 24mg dk tab from fasttech. those cartos at 6v pack quite a punch

Well… I’ve just hit my 7 day tobacco free mark

Started early in the new year with a CE4 / Riva 1100Mah kit, added some cartos and a 600Mah kit from FT for backup and an easier pocket. Since then I’ve been working on moving to Vape only, some days better than others. Decided to take the plunge last weekend and am now 100% vape only.

Current favourite has to be my Phoenix RBA with a mesh wick and hand wound Kanthal coil. That’s doing sterling work of demolishing my bottle of Decadent Vapes ‘Doppio Espresso’ which is so thick it kills Cartos (apparently it’s the caffine extract that makes it so thick). I’m powering that off of a 14500 box mod I built up with a kit from Stealth Vape. I’m also loving VapeEscape Gingerbread 24mg through 1.8Ohm XL cartos on the Riva. For stealth vaping I got an SD Keyring which is fine with standard res cartos and so small I can sneak the odd vape at work. I’ve made a concious choice that when I finish my present stock of clearmisers that I won’t be buying any more.

I’ve just posted in the FT thread about the new Genesis style RBA tank they are stoking, no word on the tank material but at £5 I had to take a chance on it. Even if it is crap polly I reckon I can find a Quartz tank for it. I’ve also just ordered a V2 VAMO (for £23 I had to give in and order) along with some Efest 18350’s and 18650’s.

My only worry now is the impending announcement from the EU on e-cigs and what they are likely to result in. 0.4% strength juice is not going to keep my cravings at bay and I can’t see the prescription thing working at all for higher strength . I’ve stocked up on Nic fluid just to be sure I’ve got a couple of months worth. Hopefully all the MEP’s I’ve been lobbying the last month will listen to the cries of a smoking chimp like me… if not then it’s going to be a real battle to stay of the analogues.

I started out using 510’s this was well before the EGo’s came around. Even before there was such a thing as LR atties. I have made something like two hundred mods or so.

I have probably a hundred 510 connectors around someplace and 50 LR 510 atties. About five hundred unused plastic bottles, 500 AA battery boxes and button switches, at least two gallons of PG and VG. Half a gallon or so of 48mg nic juice unflavored. About a gallon or so of various flavorings from vapor renu. tons of batteries and a 100 chargers or so. I could go on and on actually. The problem is that I stopped vaping a few months ago. I didn’t even plan to stop I just put it away one day and didn’t pick it back up. I sold supplies and mods to friends and family locally but one by one they have all quit or went back to smoking.

I guess my favorite store bought mod is the megalodon. I still have a 5 volt GLV laying around someplace and a couple of GG’s.

Reading this makes me feel like picking mine up again, but I don’t think I will.

I would go on ECF and sell my stuff but the moderators ticked me off by kicking me off the “outside”. My time out is long since over by now but screw them I don’t need to be treated like a bad kid that needs to be sent to the corner. I didn’t break any of their rules they just didn’t like it that I didn’t kiss a few of the old timers back sides. If you have been on the “outside” you know who I mean. I also used to give away a lot of stuff on PIF until they messed that up as well.

Well anyway, I will always be glad that I found e-cigs. I honestly don’t think I could have quit without them.

Ps. hey Pulsar have you ever put together the mod kit I sent you?

huh, what? u can e-smoke Red Bull? for caffine, nicotine, ect? As a dipper, energy drink lover I must know!

Tastes like red bull, you can pick how much nicotine you want but no caffeine. Well I have seen a site or two that claim to have caffeine, vitamins, ginseng etc. but from what I understand it’s not enough to actually tell it’s there.

I use Lavatube 2.0 on 18650 batt. Use PG smoke juice.

I use Joyetech eRoll with Low nicotine liquid(75%PG-25%VG), very good vapor, the atomizer is durable, no leaking so far.
I buy an EVIC battery set, its on the way right now.

I just started vaping a couple months ago,I just have a tornado battery and a plastic clearomizer. Some faves of mine are maxiboro menthol and dragon's blood. There are so many flavors out there,it's confusing but Mrs.Darcangel is getting me to try some new stuff.I really hate those plastic cheapo clearomizers which have broken from being in my pocket and leak all over.I really want to find something more durable, because when mine broke I went back to cigarettes.I had one of the sales guys at the local vaping shop eating his words when he tried telling me the trustfire 18650's he had were "top quality batteries."Lol,I think I may have turned him flashaholic because he took great interest in my edc lights and wanted some with the tritium like mine.I was surprised that some of those e cigs use 18650 and even more suprised about how little the staff knew about battery safety.

Mine also always break/cracked, lost pressure then always flood…(those plastic containers)

Then i change to Viva Nova that plastic tank, seems durable enough…
You can try, or see what others uses that is durable

I’m trying to cut back on cigs… I know almost nothin about this… Could anyone post some links to a good 18650 starter kit?

Dale, good is really subjective. Good budget or good knock your socks off reliable, buy it once and have the best from the start?

If you want to buy once and have the best and probably save yourself money in the long run buy a provari. Your chances of quitting or cutting back a lot goes way up if you get something really good to start with. Plus you end up saving money by not buying smokes.

Don't worry guys, the douchebag will be gone soon enough.

Ok, all of his posts have now been removed. I would suggest simply deleting any references to his behavior in this thread so we can get back on topic. :D
