C3 SS for $5.12

I'm sort of in the middle of something, but I wanted to share this with you guys: apparently, FP has the SS version of the C3 on sale for $5.12 now. Use EXS10OFF for an extra 10% off.

Anyway, seems like a no-brainer at $4.61, if they don't outright cancel all orders. And in the past, they were pretty good about honoring orders even if it meant losing money.

It says aluminum not SS.

Yeah...and MF only has the SS one with the SS button. Very nice light, that SS button is very important as the final touch. A GITD button immediately makes it 3X cheaper, no joke.

But 4.61 is definitely worth a shot! (if they do not cancel it). The light is pretty ok in general.

Thanks for sharing this!!!

Thanks for the tip Oxy! I just ordered 2. I'm skeptical, but we'll see what we get, if anything. I searched for "C3" on Focalprice, and they have the following items that could easily be confused with this:

FP is generally ok. I have 6 orders with them, well one arrived DOA and i opened a RMA. They suggested that i repair it locally and send the receipt to them for refund via PP. Crazy! I just told them to send me another item but at $9 cheaper (can't be bothered spending time to argue) and they agreed. At least i get another item without much hassle and returning it back would cost be $12.

Most would rate it as near Dinodirect level, but heck as you'd know we don't have problems with good deals.

Oh yes, be prepared to wait. I once waited 16 days before they sent it out ( i had to open a case to remind them). Registered shipping took another 2 weeks and this is from CN to SG, not USA.

I have had problems with defective products with FP. I did a purchase a year ago, and received a defective item. They promised to send a new one, but never received anything.

They kept me waiting a week, a week more, a week more until paypal buyers protection finished....

Let´s see how they perform now... Hope they dont "invalidate" all the orders and ship them for 4,61 USD

Fran, 1st and foremost, settle any issue right there and then. Never believe that they will send the same item, give them a little break like sending a cheaper item. You know, when i told them to send another cheaper item over, i told them the story of not wanting to return the item and spend $12 on that lah...etc etc. Why don't you send another model, cheaper is ok, i absorb the cost, just send it to me fast. They gave me a tracking number the very next day 13 hours later! ROFL!! Beats Ebay express huh? I "lost" but was still guaranteed a "win".....or "cut loss"...

When you are playing with budget lights + budget websites, you already need to have the mindset that at least 10% is sucky and can go wrong. And those sucky stuff cannot be returned or exchanged, unlike a brick and mortar store. This risk is actually "exciting" to me, part of the game. You already have to factor that in.....if not just pay more from a reputable store.

That's a pretty good deal.

Paypal sent!

Done...

Let's see what we get....

Ordered one, will see what happens.

I just noticed that the C3 I ordered doesn't have the word "genuine" in the title like the ones you pointed out.

I wonder what kind of LED it will have. It better not be generic. I would have rather spent $10.60 at DinoDirect for a 501b w/ xm-l if that's the case.

As far as I know, all of the C3 SS clones have some sort of Cree emitter, usually an XR-E. The "genuine" part on those other lights seems to be a nod to our complaints here on BLF in the past about the 98mm vs. the 93mm version of this light. So this is probably not really the original 93mm Ultrafire (note "Ultra [space] Fire" in the title) but rather a 98mm clone. That being said, I have the 98mm clone from DX and I like it a lot.

Keep a screenshot showing the photo of the flashlight showing the LED and the price....

However, If we receive a different product, we will not have paypals buyer´s protection

Why not?

Of course we do, this is exactly how I got my money back after Lazerpoint delivered a 12 UV showerhead instead of the C3 SS that was advertised. BTW I ordered 2, but will ask them to make sure it's a C3.

Sorry, in some countries like mine, paypal only protects you if you dont receive the item

If you receive the wrong item, or is defective, or it has parts or units missings, paypal will do nothing...

Wow, sucks to be in those countries.

Thanks, oxy! At $4.61 it’s a no brainer. Ordered one to see what happens.
