Budget batteries

I wanna some suggestions about batteries 18650 and 26650.

TF flames still good ones? And about soshine?

Thanks.

Hearing a lot of good things about 26650 Liitokala cells (~$23 four pieces shipped from Gearbest)

Protected 18650: http://www.banggood.com/4PCS-3_7V-2600mah-Lithium-Rechargeable-Protected-18650-Battery-For-Samsung-p-913785.html
unprotected 18650: http://www.banggood.com/4PCS-Samsung-INR18650-30Q-3000mAh-Unprotected-Button-Top-18650-Battery-p-1067185.html (for HIgh-Amps)
26650: LiitoKala 26650-50A 5000mah 26650 - great first impressions

The Samsungs are cheaper at Gearbest

I use these a lot (though they are bg)

WOW, gear best have a awesome price :open_mouth:

Can I use those flat top in series? button top isn’t better?

The shipping is good?

Of course - but it’s GearBest and that site should be avoided.

  • you get the Button-Top ones at Banggood which fit more flashlights

Well after having serious issues I must say Gearbest resolved it very well (even a case that I would have lost via Paypal because I could not provide the fax (yeah Paypal wanted a fax :person_facepalming: ) since Paypal was not responsive if the number was French or US where the fax needed to be send to, Gearbest resolved to my full satisfaction)
The avoid rating is taken down.
And nowadays they not only ship pretty fast they also checked if things had arrived after a month.

Gearbest rocks …
zero issues with them in more than two years …great deals …

Even cheap as singles

batteries in the past few years have gotten much better and from these guys considerably cheaper .
they’ve even got newer 16650’s with 2000mah’s+ capacity !6650s are nice in older lights that wanted 2 cr123’s to work …a lot easier than boring out a flashlight tube .

GB shipping are very fast IMO. 10-18 days to the North Europe. BG shipping times are 20-40 days.

For 18650, should you not be looking to buy four right off the bat:

Boaz, good prices on those cells, thanks. As far as you know, are they authentic?

I also never (or maybe once? Don’t remember) had problems with GB in 16 orders since oct.’14 - but a lot of people had big problems, so BG offers the bigger chance of receiving what you actually paid for

But I also have 12 Samsung 26F from GB and a lot of other stuff - last order was a 3*AA battery holder for the Convoy X3 - that little part was here in 5 business days without paying more for shipping :stuck_out_tongue:

Bummer, the 2 packs of hg2s are sold out.

I thought these would also be suggested, are they outdated by now?

Given how dangerous li-ion cells can be, I recommend not skimping on batteries.

Pay the extra to buy batteries from a reputable source like Mountain Electronics or Illumn.

And what exactly is the difference between a brand battery from RMM and the same one from BangGood or GearBest?

The topic sais “Budget” - and it doesn’t go more budget than china :stuck_out_tongue:

So, the samsung is the best for 18650?

Almost all of those batteries I’ll use in series. I order a thorfire S70 yesterday at bangood but dont pay the bank slip yet, may I could made a better choice?

LG, Samsung, Sanyo, Panasonic, Sony all are the best manufacturers.

My Thorfire S70 is very happy with two heters from Gearbest:

Have the Littokala on order but they sell them in pair too:

For a series light you buy 2 and use them as if 1.
Better go with 26650 since longer runtimes.

+1

I buy my batteries mostly from the two listed above as well as Liion Wholesale Batteries. These suppliers are in the U.S. as is my location.

I on occasion buy from GearBest, I have Liitokala 26650 batteries on order.
