18650 / ~3500mAh : which is now the best ?

Hi,

After order a new flashlight, I need now good batteries.
Thanks again to Jerommel for help

Which batteries do you advise ?
I need 2 or 4 pcs.

- NCR 18650B

- Samsung INR 18650 - 30Q (but ‘only’ 3000mAh)

- NCR 18650GA (but I don’t need 8 pcs ! - other quantities aren’t in stock)

  • …other idea ???

High capacity cells from the major brands:

Samsung 3500mAh

Sanyo/Panasonic 3500mAh

LG 3500mAh

Thanks HKJ.
I didn’t know of the Samsung and LG.

Thanks a lot for complete tests !
I just don’t know what is consumption of Convoy C8 with U2 – 1A and 7135×8…
Are this 3 models ok for it ?

1x 7135 = 0.35 Amperes
8x 7135 = 2.8 Amperes

Thanks Jerommel.
Well, I can use this 3 models… cool.

EDIT :
Damn ! all these models are out of stock (or with flat top)… :rage:

Convoy C8 has springs on drver and tail side, flatto should work

Original cells are always flat top and without protection. You need to find a rewrapper to get button top and/or protection.

Hey Le Dam,

You can also check out NKON (Netherlands based): 18650 - Li-ion - Oplaadbare batterijen | NKON
They are very reputable. Prices are really good too, but maybe you pay a bit more for shipping. They also have button top versions of for example Sony VTC6 and Sanyo GA!

Hey Jerommel! The Samsung 35E is also used in the batteries you get with the Olight X7; just some trivia!

Thank you HKJ
Merci The Miller

@hIKARInoob : You’re right ! And Jerommel already said that about NKON.
I thought the shipping cost was very expensive but no… only €3.40 ($3.80) to Belgium.

And they have Sanyo NCR18650GA on stock, for little price.

Ordered 4pcs for €21.76 ($24.30) with shipping

Thanks again to all !

Excellent! Cheers!

YES !

Received 3 days after order

But, the batteries don’t have brand… nothing (just a little QR code non scannable).

Are these genuine ?

^ Yes. There is verrrry vaguely a code printed (you really need to look closely). It says NCR18650GA and a code; mine says 5216. “5” refers to 2015, “2” to February, and “16” the sixteenth day (of February). This is the production date.
I think the reason there is no obvious branding on the cell, is because it’s not meant for consumer usse.

Thanks for reply hIKARInoob

No other code as that :

Funny !
Thanks to my smartphone camera and special thanks to Photoshop.

When enlarging the QR code, I found the brand Sanyo (I can not see just with my eyes).

But not other code…

Look for watermark-like code on the red plastic wrapper: look at it from acute angle and try to change battery position relative to light source.

Thanks.
But now, I’m sure; these batteries are really Sanyo

Nice cells, Le Dam.

Thanks again Jerommel for your help.

I’ve found another code : NCR18650GA 6Y15
Factory year is 2016
