I have an annoying problem with UPS and their delivery people.
UPS has a hard time finding my house.
There are clearly two ways to get to my house.
One way is very dangerous for most vehicles, and the other way is the right way.
UPS uses some sort of GPS service to deliver their packages, and recently they always go the wrong way, and then they report that my package is "undeliverable."
What UPS wants me to do is to call them every day I have a package to be delivered to remind them of the correct way to my house.
I don't want to do that.
By the way, in their system, they have nowhere to record the proper directions to my house.
Seems strange that they can’t record the proper directions. I had a similar problem with UPS when I began receiving packages from UPS at my home a few months ago. Parcels were dropped at my neighbor’s house which was the first house on the left after the bridge. I called the local receiving and shipping warehouse and explained that we were the 2nd house on the left after the bridge. He said “ok, I’ll correct it on our map”. Hasn’t been a problem since.
UPS won’t deliver to PO boxes( other than packages they have an arrangement to deliver to with USPS). UPS has gone down hill around here too. Now that FedEx doesn’t deliver for Amazon anymore, it is even worse. My old driver for years would do what ever needed to deliver a package, even if it broke a company rule. Now the route is driven by multiple people and if the driveway has snow on it they won’t come up. I had one driver leave a package on top of a stone wall at the end of my 300’ driveway. I can not see the road from my house and I had no clue the package was there as it was a gift and I did not get any tracking on it. It sat there for days before someone told me it was there. Lucky it was not stolen.
I take it the driver is not the same every day? That makes it tough. Calling the loading plant for your area would work you should think. These Corp. are a pain to communicate with though. I must say, when I called to complain about my package being left down by the road, I did get a callback and the driver got spoken to. Eventually it is on them to deliver your package so unless it is medicine that you need right away, let them figure it out.
I seem to remember Mythbusters had an episode where they tried to dispel the myth that UPS drivers can only make right hand turns. Perhaps the unsafe route to your destination is only accomplished via right hand turns, thereby making your address un-deliverable.
I think UPS is playing the part time worker trick. Keep a few on the payroll but not enough hours each to be full time. The driver around here used to be the only one except when he was on vacation. Not anymore. All about the share holder, F the worker.
But what is the problem, is your adress/street complicated or something? if i would type your adress on google maps if i wanted visit u, wouldnt that be possible for example ?
Or tell them u will be outside wearing a blue t-shirt waving your arms, they should find u easy then ??
My mom has contacted Google to tell them that their directions are wrong, but they have ignored her.
There is an area that is dangerous to drive through.
If you have four wheel drive, it's easier to get through the dangerous area, but you won't be able to see very well and could hit a pedestrian or someone driving the other way.
The UPS drivers must be idiots because if you look at a map, it's obvious that there are two ways to get to our street, and if you're at the dangerous area, it's obvious that that way is no good.
