I like “Nightbreaker.” Have you thought about a name that says “New Zealand” to potential purchasers, to give your lights a more localized brand flavor? Perhaps TuiTorch. Or RuruLight (maybe RuLight?). Lights that can help spot the owls, you know.

“Ruru provide a rich source of symbolism for Māori. Their haunting cry and watchful nature are linked with tapu (spiritual restriction), guardianship, forewarning, grief and awareness”

Hmmm, maybe not that one Silly

Zealight was suggested above so I’ll give it a think.

Dad had suggested Nightbreaker which sounds decent. Osram have car headlight series called Osram Night Breaker. I could still use it as a brand though?

How about Midlite, since your origin is in middle earth and the lights are “lite” versions of the big chongus lights so “Midlite”.

With a slogan like “Midlite your choice of light while in middle earth.”

New Nightbreaker lights! Turning them on is half the fight!
New Nightbreaker lights! They’re only here for the good times, never the bad.
New Nightbreaker lights! They last all day, but break at night.
New Nightbreaker lights! They’ll make a break for it at night, just like our dad.

I’ll support the Zealight idea. Or dumpster fire, that’s just great

How about Solothurn (Swiss anti-tank rifle) and a town in Switzerland. I just like the name.

I like the Kiwis, the people, the birds, and the fruits, too.

But let’s try something completely original.

Uses 72x LR44. Good luck dropping them all in with the correct polarity.

And he actually said “KiwiLight”… Then I said “KiwiFire” and LightBringer said that name again. Oops
So, you’re pretty much right Wink

As for the suggestions NightBreaker doesn’t seem bad Wink

For all suggesting “helios”, check for “Heliuslight” and you’ll find that there is already a brand named like that.

I’ve decided to go with NightBreaker, it sounds great. i was considering Zealights but Dad reckons many won’t put two and two together.

Thank you to all provided input, I really appreciate it

Your store is called ‘Piercing the Darkness’?
Why not just use that name.
Or maybe not full out written but more like Ptd-lights?

I know it doesn’t sound to catchy at first but you already have that name so its easy to use it.

Glad I didn’t choose Searching The Darkness as STD wouldn’t be so good lol.

I had thought of it but might be easier to advertise something like Nightbreaker. I’ll keep it in mind, if I go for ptd-lights I wouldn’t need a new logo

There are probably more than 1000 flashlight companies out there making lights that cost anywhere from $1 to potentially in the 1000 dollar range. How do you plan stand out from these thousand companies?

Its a fair question.

My hunting range is already a hit for the prices I sell at. I already stand out for my customer service, quality control, and lumen rating honesty. Only store I know of that tests every product twice before sending to a customer, once when the shipment arrives and again before it’s sent out. Over 6 years I’ve only had 5 returns. Every model is rated with my lumen tube. I never use the manufacturer’s spec, I don’t know any other store that does this. Free labor on repairs

It’s unheard of service here in NZ

I’m looking into a hunting light that uses interchangeable led modules, no other brand in NZ offers that, so I’m wanting my own brand name on it. Should perform close to the Noctigon K1 but able to be mounted on a rifle without too much weight

What kind of flashlight is used for hunting? Are the animals so dumb that they let you shine a bright light at them before you shoot them?
