So I have been looking at illuminating metal switches for my S2. Unfortunately my S2 came with the metal switch installed. I know it’s possible to mount a transparent washer and led switch behind it but it doesn’t let all that much light through.
I was thinking of buying one of these switches and shorten the thread and make a plunger for it to replace to standard button. (so basically just use the metal button obviously not the switch itself)
Does anybody know if the Convoy metal button is 12mm?
Just buy an illuminated switch from the Convoy store and be done with it…
It not being that these don’t fit when it already has a metal switch. They only fit if you have a rubber button.

The brightness of the switch leds are determined by the resisitor value used in the switch and also the color of led and size. Green i think was the most effecient. Certain sizes and brands are more effecient than others.
The resistors can be changed and also the leds for a brighter tailcap but at a higher price of battery drain. Usually not a problem if you are person who uses their light and charges it pretty regularly. If your like me though and you have so many lights that some just set for months then the lowerer drain with lower light output is better, gives me more time to charge them.
I’m going to try it first with green leds and swapping resistors if it’s not bright enough. Thanks for the input!
