Other: there is no cure

Become an alcoholic and you won't care about anything else.

Cheers!

Deal Extreme is there own worst enemy! They cured me. Over 90 days for Flame protected 14500's to arrive & I was taken on a EDI-T P4 switch. Ordered the 18650 model but they sent me the weak 3 x AAA one instead.

What a business model!

But I don't want to be cured.

More lights

You can't cure it.

Deny me complete access from BLF and I guarantee my flashoholism will fade away. Cut off enablers and issues often cure themselves.

I can quit at any time.......if I wanted to.......but I chose not to at this time............there is a 12 step program.....but I have no time for the meetings............

i am not sure if i am a flashaholic (yet) or if flashlights could be called a 'new hobby' of mine. hopefully neither.

all i know is flashlights have become integral part of my daily life, at least i have a 1xAAA light on me and use it all the time. if there are again crazy sales DD after Black Friday, i'll know by then if i am a flashaholic or not..

one thing's for sure, BFL is addictive ;)

+1

Other = Death

Come with me and I'll give you a tour

Form a line and please read the brochure

While you're listening to me

Just be careful and see

That you don't step in any manure

I'll tell you a flashaholism cure

And my motives are entirely pure

Give your money to me

And you will soon see

I will cure your addiction for sure

You find flashlights too much of a lure ?

You will soon take a drastic detour

Don't think it's a joke

Because once you are broke

There'll be no lights that you can procure

Well, I can't adopt a diurnal existence, so in a way Cree is making me buy flashlights, lol. I voted resistance from family/friends because my GF gives me a hard time about it, lol.

I famously tried rehab . . . after about a month, Troop called me on my cell to see if everything was alright, which was kinda cool. Then one day I looked at my collection and thought, people killing other people all over the world for stupid reasons, other folks arrive in the emergency room with a light bulb up thier ass and I saw a lady on A and E that ate a few rolls of Charmin every day and another lady that snacked on Tide all the time.

Flashlights seem painfully benign by comparison and oh-so harmless. My wife has since kept her peace, for which I am grateful and even more in love with her. Not sure when I'm getting off this ride but I do know it won't be anytime soon.

I have an addiction to the more expensive lights. Three 4Sevens lights, a Spark, a Zebralight, a XENO, two Streamlights, a custom built MagLite and an EagleTac on the way is a whole hell of a lot of money. When I think about that, it depresses me.

My problem is, I want two lights. I have found one of the two I want. The Zebralight SC600w is the first light. 640 lumens on high and .1 lumen on low with everything in between makes it almost the perfect light. The only thing that bothers me is the lithium ion cell with the potential explosion that awaits. So, I have been searching for a light with similar specs that runs on eneloops. So far, I haven't even been able to come close. It would appear that I am going to have to wait till the Zebralight Q50 comes out.

So now I have put myself on a spending block for flashlights. I am even going to sell my Spark, one 4Sevens, a YEZL and maybe one Streamlight.

I need to get back in to my obsession with mountain biking. That will keep me away from flashlights, still spend way too much money but keep me a lot healthier.

Voted other for the fact that flashaholism is incurable.Flashlight manufacturers that make cool new stuff and enablers make it impossible to cure.
