Okay confused about this first a 16340 is the sme size as a cr123 just rechargable right? If so I guess that’s what I’m looking for. But also what’s a cr123r then?
I want it as a back up to my 18650 light I have and since I have a universal charger I’ll just need the batteries and light themself.
My requirements
Black
Modes doesn’t matter.
Good grip. Will be used with gloves
At least 400lm
Rear clicky
No more than $20 and I need links to batteries you guys recomend also
JetBeam BC10
I use mine with an AW RECHARGEABLE and it puts out more than a cr123 battery, with the rechargeable batt it is a 400-500 lumen pocket rocket.
And the AW pays for itself in 3-4 charges
Kumabear has some US based batteries that are very nice .
cr123's are primaries ..or throw aways ..they are 3volts where a rcr16340 is a rechargable and charges up to 4.2 volts ..at 3.0~3.5 volts it needs recharged
16340
the 16 is the width 16 mm and the length is 34mm and the 0 means it's cylindrical
I don't think anyone has this light including Dino direct ..My guess is....they don't have it .
I didn't even look at the specs..Do you think they know xml from dsl ?...It will do whatever is possible to do direct driven on whatever battery you have .My guess would be about 700 lumens for not very dang long ...Again I doubt they even have the light.... seems to me I've tried to buy this light in a AA version from DX before and came up empty .
The AB-T60 has a 38mm head and should throw a beam like much larger lights while maintaining a compact size. It's also at $20 right now. A real good price.
But the best bang for your $$ in that size HAS to be the L2M clone at KD. No, it's not a real Solarforce L2M but it's a solid little light that is completely upgradable and rebuildable should you need to. It also comes with an XM-L p60 drop-in that's every bit as bright as the infamous UF 3-mode XM-L drop-in from Manafont. This little light has the biggest set of balls on it that you can buy stock for such a small amount of money. Use it, abuse it, or lose it...then buy another!
Ultrafire 5-mode XP-G R5 drop-in - my personal choice of emitter for the 501a host. A good compromise between the throw of a XR-E and the floody brightness of a XM-L. Also much more conservatively driven, which would be much better for the health of your cells - $10.05
...but for the 501a host, I would purchase these 18350 cells that are slightly larger, but still fit the P60 host and will give you additional runtime - $7.20/pair:
