I Have a pretty limited experience with them. Everything I ordered from the group buys went well, even when I wasnt supposed to order because they sent me a free magic blue smoke stick. Outside the group buys I have one order out with them and it was shipped the next day. I even got a picture just like Foys. Such a lame picture really made me realize what a cheap bastard I am. Next time I’m popping for the $.59 special shipping.

I wonder where they stole the pictures from?

Their product issues forum? makes interesting reading

Where's the promised gift card..??
Posted: 10/29/2011 02:19 EST
After a lengthy discussion with Otta, I was told that I would receive 2 x $2o gift cards as both items purchased are not working. I have not received these, and now need to make another replacement purchase. This is a very lengthy and non-customer friendly system..!! Where can I get these..??"

I'd like to see some semblance of intellectual prowess here. Is that too much to ask?

I agree that losing $1.50 is pretty minor, but it will add up to more if DinoDirect doesn't fix their broken DinoPoints system.

Welcome right back at ya.

I thought swearing was against forum rules. It certainly can be indicator of intelligence - albeit the level thereof.

classactgorannFoy

A day after I posted this status became shipped out. Now the wait.

I agree that swearing either is or should be against the rules however name calling should be as well. Talking about someone else's intellectual prowess, lack of intelligence or using the word "retarded" are all just as bad.

If someone actually isn't particularly intelligent that's a handicap and not something that should be referred to as "retarded" or as a laok of intellectual prowess or any other such term. If they are of normal intelligence then it's just name calling. Either way...not good.

You missed the point, gcbryan. My own suggestion to use intellectual prowess in this thread has *NOTHING* to do with namecalling, or talking about an individual or individuals. It *IS* prodding everyone to use their heads.

Read between the lines...or read what my post actually says, in spite of gorann's juvenile response to it.

Another class act, Metal?

me no understand :shy:

Well so far after ordering Trustfire flame 18650 batteries on 2 different orders I am impressed by their email communications. They also have a chat option on their website if you care to talk to one of them about something. I like that too. They offered the best price period on these batteries at $6.71 a pair. Now I have already heard that these are good batteries so far from what one member got and tested. But if they are so bad of a company, then maybe other companies that are said to be better need to start competing with them on price matching with all their discounts that they provide. But I will say they have a tendency to email you too much afterwards. But sometimes that is a good thing. I really ain't worried about these bonus points that they give. Manafont does the same thing.

It's not about small amounts of money, it's about sellers keeping their word and make open, honest communication with their customers. There is a matter of principle involved here. Also if you buy larger numbers of a product these small discounts can add up to a substantial amount of money. Don't get me wrong... the last group buys were great and having Summer made communication a lot better, but a reputation is easier to damage, than to build up.

Tell me who else offers the Fenix TK45 after using the "Thanskgiving" coupon code for $84.79 with free shipping. Try to find that light cheaper.

For me it isn't about the cheapest price. see post 273. Lots of unhappy customers.(and that is one week's worth)

You're right that is not good. However, I suspect that DD have a very high number of customers compared to some suppliers that we use. So I wonder how the percentages of good and bad transactions compare? That's the problem with the web. Its very difficult to compare like with like. We are perhaps luckier than most customers in that we at least have Summer as a point of contact and also the support of a large'ish buying block (i.e. BLF).
