I like that light. I looked at it a while back. defiantly gonna take advantage of this one. Also have a few other small items I am gonna buy from them. Thanks for the group buy on this one.
I have the older AA version—very bright, and its easy to twist to the lower
output setting—but to activate the higher output takes almost 2 full revolutions
of the head. I remember reading about a solder blob fix posted here.
I love AAA lights, but hope this one can be activated with less twisting.
The picture with the battery hanging out the tube is a lithium primary, i’m sure i’ve seen one before, so i’m guessing it’s only a primary battery it can take. I do have to say though, that is one confusing mixed up description with very little info. I’ll pass thanks.
The one in the OP link is the xp-g2 model, that’s the one up for the group buy.
Xp-g2 3C NW 4700K LED
Reflector: Aluminum Alloy OP Reflector
Mode:2-mode
Hi mode 80LM
Lo mode 4.6LM
Material:304 stainless steel
Battery Type:1x Lithium AAA
(not sure if it is primary or rechargeable, but i’m going to say primarys only as there aren’t that many out that will take a 4.2v fully charged battery, and then there’s the fact it has no info on what other types of batt’s it can use so, AAA lithium primarys and AAA nimh, nicad, and alkaline batterys i guess?).
I can’t see a clicky so it’s a twisty also.
NiMH is too low voltage, 10440 is too high voltage. When voltage is low, the light stays on as low voltage warning, didn't you read the Chinese description on Toaboa?
Lithium primary has perfect voltage. You twist the light shut, the light turns off. Electronic mechanism.
How good would it be if Ric actually used the forum and answered questions (about products he is trying to sell) instead of just using it as free advertising?
Okok, mine is marked Shipped now, with non-working tracking number thanks (Sweden Post)! My online account says "Shipped 2014-04-11", contrary to Ric's email ("2014-04-07"), doesn't matter much i guess?
Group buy period is over, lol the price hasn't changed. Wasn't much of a GB price then huh? ;)
