I would totally go for this, if I hadn’t just gotten the original BST. In either case though, I’d still want to flash the firmware for a different UI, which means the difference between the two (for me) is just the handle and switch. It might be nice to remove the handle once in a while, though I’m wondering what the handle connector looks like when it’s not connected. Does it stick out?
I’d also like to know about the internals, whenever someone gets one… mostly the driver.

Did you look at the pics in the CPF link in OP?
I did, but it’s hard to make out the shape of that area with the handle detached. As far as I can tell, it does stick out, and probably quite a bit. Could be a little awkward when carrying it without the handle.
In any case though, I’m more interested in the driver… same driver, different firmware? Different driver entirely? Similar but with some physical revisions?

In the T80 thread there are more pics of the connection area. They look virtually identical except the way the handle slides into the slot. Looks like it sticks up 5mm maybe?
