If the seller uses “Fulfilled by Amazon” and the product turns out to be garbage, I can send it straight back for a full refund, no questions asked, and they even pay for the postage.
If I’m dithering about whether to risk ordering a new product from a brand I haven’t used before, “Fulfilled by Amazon” is what tips me over into clicking “Buy Now”. It means the seller is confident enough of their product to accept being charged by Amazon for return postage and processing of defective items. I like that.
Please add me in for one as well! New to the whole flashlight hobby, just came back from a camping trip and decided that I would enjoy being able to actually see at night.
Edit: Quick question, how does purchasing and shipping work for Canadians like myself?
“Flat” top Sanyo/Panasonic NCR18650GA should work okay. The center contact is slightly raised over the surrounding insulation by something like 0.5mm. Not to the extent of a button top, but they’re not like a lot of flat top cells where something set across the top will not make electrical contact. I’m planning to get NCR18650GA cells for mine.
AFAIK, they’re all the same. 3350mAh is the minimum, as in that’s the minimum capacity they could have and still be in spec. 3450mAh is the nominal capacity, but most people just call them 3500mAh.
Thanks again, SIGShooter! I appreciate your continued dedication to this interest list despite it’s nearly 2500 listings and continual changes. Not sure you realized what you were getting into with this one , but you’re doing a great job.
I’ve had nothing but great results with that battery, chosen based on forum member recommendations.
There are some very deep thinkers on these boards with depth of knowledge about batteries I’ll never have, so unless one of them says “they’re crap!” I’ll be running red.
The price difference is minimal in the long run.
Does anyone remember 17670s? seems like yesterday…
I just bought some more 30Qs and I plan to just add a blob of solder as the flat tops are cheaper than the button tops. I don’t care if they’re pretty.
