I’ve also discovered the source of the problem: the switch cover doesn’t fit well in its stock position, meaning switch presses are unlikely to register well, if at all.
Just rotating it a bit fixes the problem entirely.
I would prefer the issue having it fixed stock though. 1,9% is high still.
I’ve initially had the same problem a long time ago when I got the GT Mini.
It wasn’t always registering clicks properly.
So, being the curious guy that I am, I removed the switch, rotated it by 1/4 of a turn(90 degrees), and the problem was fixed. Not matter how weak or how strong the press was, the click always registers now.
I have already placed it horizontally. First I removed the rubber switch and then the metal ring. It's impossible not to leave marks but they are hidden by the metal ring.
Tomorrow I will try it to see if it has been solved.
Received mine today. Switch is perfectly oriented and appears to be working flawlessly.
The bezel was very tight but came off after deploying the guns and absolutely no glue to be seen on the threads (can’t remember if this was the case for everyone)
Overall very impressed with the build quality.
Downsides so far are the led is warmer and yellower than I was expecting (yellower than all my XPL 5A and 5D leds) and also I received a plain black lanyard… what happened to the purple ones?!
nice it arrived, lol be glad u got a black lanyard, i think the purple one i got with gt mini is hideos… and it already quickly destroyed a little the outer wire…. black looks more elegant .
My GT mini CW is from Banggood. Seems warehouse stocking date was 15th Mar for my unit. Works okey so far. I cleaned contacts before using it. There was some glue on driver contact area and lube on tube contact surfaces. Also top of the driver side spring was really dirty.
I measured tail cap current 5.60A on turbo at 0s with Sony VTC6 having 3.975V before the test.
I wonder what LED bin they are using for cool white version? (flux, tint) (V3 1A was said / guessed somewhere?)
Firmware defaults don’t seem to match the documentation (V5 manual at post #1 in this thread). Strobe modes are available by default. I tried factory reset and those are still available. (double click -> turbo, then double click -> strobe)
Front of the bezel is not straight: When the light is put bezel down on an even surface the light rocks little.
