The sw45 does indeed have a nice output, but I’ve found that in real world small light use the warmer sw35 is very nice. Still rosy but the warmer cct is much easier on night-adapted eyes.
I’ve already done a couple 519A lights. I’m still writing up the results, but the M450 sm453 I have are around 4400K and Duv –0.0034 on H1, ~650 lumens turn-on. For reference, 219B sw45k measures around 500 and a stock SC64c LE measures ~760, so it’s a pretty nice option if you prefer your neutral whites a little less rosy.
Sounds good. The lumen jump is nice but I prefer the rosy tints. I’ll wait for more 519A to come out and see how they compare with the 219B 9080 tint wise.
Thanks Bob!
Has anyone heard from Bob_McBob recently? I made a paypal transaction 02.11.21 and more than 2 months ago he said that the shipment was done but to this day nothing came. He is ignoring my private messages on reddit.
Bob, I have recently found a Very, Very nicely tinted Bin of xhp35 HI 3000k 80CRI. How do we work out the details of you putting one in a sc64w HI for me? I would also need the light, too.
Sorry for bothering. I just received my light (sw35) and it is perfect. Somehow my local postal service lost it and found after 3 months. I highly recommend Bob_McBob lights to all enthusiasts.
Just got my SC64 with a dedomed 5700K today! Great work, and I love this emitter. Here it is lined up against a random assortment of other lights (just the normal iPhone camera app so no white balance lock, but this should give a relative idea of the differences):
In the above picture the balance makes the SW45K appear fairly neutral so it’s a good relative comparison to my 519As, but not exactly true to life (the 519A 4500K does not actually look this green).
Yes, almost every SC64c LE order this year has been for 519A, particularly dedomed sm453 (~3500K). Everything stays the same, you just get a much nicer LED
