I ordered one of these from Meritline a month or two ago. I got it recently, but haven’t had much time to test it yet. Just a few minutes playing with it before my wife rolls her eyes at me. “Another gadget from Meritline???” she says to me. Oh well.

It’s definitely a thrower— the focus is a little too strong for my intended purpose of using it for mountain biking. From a foot away, if I shine it at my arm (during normal indoor daylight conditions in a room with filtered sunlight), the bright spot whites-out my vision momentarily, before my pupils adjust so that I can see what’s being illuminated. (I’m brown-skinned).

If you’ve got specific questions, throw them my way and I’ll check the flashlight out.

Welcome to the BLF family, M—-!!

Thanks for the ‘welcome’, JM!

I had a closer look at the flashlight last night. It is “Rong Li” brand. Barrel claims 1600lm (lol!). Mine doesn’t have the “caution hot surface” mark that’s shown on the photo.

Glass lens (uncoated, I think). I (intentionally) popped the lens out, and when I pushed it back in, I was showered with a spray of tiny bits of glass. :-/ …The glass didn’t break, though— just bits that chipped off around the threads.

Lots of decent O-rings where you want them to be. Solder quality looks good. Knurled body isn’t as grippy as I would have hoped. Plastic reflector (2/3 smooth, 1/3 textured closest to the emitter). Plastic reflector-centering ring. Green button in the tail (full press for on/off, half-press for hi/med/lo/strobe/SOS). I don’t know how to remove the pill, so I didn’t try.

Beam quality: big ring of flood with circle of narrow throw in the middle. No rings, other than the bright dot in the middle. PWM is obvious on “low” setting. Not noticeable on medium.

Heat dissipation: I’ve got it running right now.

Thanks for stopping by, M---!

All Cities (I think?)

I fixed original post - added url and additional saving coupon for those that are interested.

Enjoy - Triple A

My Ultrafire C8 just lost the driver or LED. For $9 I might as well just buy this and have a new light. I can keep the old C8 for spare parts assuming everything will swap out like tail cap and lens etc.

I just signed up and created an account to buy one and they are out of stock now!

Rusty, all specs are almost the same, so I wouldn’t trust what they say :expressionless:
I bought that “HD2010” because of the pics  For that price - I’ll take the risk  (but… keep my fingers crossed just in case  )

Those who ordered from them before, please, can you tell me if they update item status online or not? Ordered 5 days ago and still nothing :expressionless: (Step 2 of 4: Pending Payment - We have not yet received fund to release your order for shipment.)

Yes, they do. I got an email, that my flashlight is sent out and this is also online available.
