As I have been building lights for people, I have noticed this temptation. When I’m done making a light I always want to keep it for myself. But that might be because I have just started only done a couple lights? I’ll have to ask an elder if that changes:)

Favoring newbies is a great idea. In many cases, they need a flashlight more than many BLF veterans. Not very long ago, I was in that position myself.

That light reminds me of a like 200W LED strip I saw at a farm store earlier this evening, it was being sold for like $120, and it was for attaching to the roof of a vehicle and hooking up to 12v battery. They had a rating of like 9000 lumens on the box, not sure if that’s accurate or not lol.

SkyRayKing. My wfe thinks it is too big, I like it and bought it for modding, and now, thanks to this very thread are emailing with Richard about some parts. I like to think it will become a super torch, but will start a thread about it in the future when we are ready to go with it.
Funny how things go, I got a real nice Convoy C8 and when my wife had to do the hickens the other night I gave it to her to use. She prefered a cheap zoomie with greenish rim in the lghtbeam, she just loves that little torch.
And on topic.
For just the small parts I will buy (no matter how this topic will be going for me ;)) the shipping to us in France seems not that high, less then $10,- anyway.
