in my never ending quest to screw everything up make everything better, I pulled apart my p60 drop in pill I've been using in my convoy c4, and added 6 350mA chips to the existing 8 chips for a total of 14*350= 4,900mA to an xml2-u3-1a on noctigon. I thought everything looked good, put it all back together and now it has stock modes. Low/med/high/strobe/sos.
I mi would really like to only have Low/hi (starting on low of possible) but if I had to I could live with low/med/high. No memory, if possible.
Ive been searching and can't find the thread I saw before, I thought you could change modes with the stars on this driver? I soldered the first star and jumped it over to the rim/ground, but it's still the same modes. Is there anything I can do to get it back to a simple hi/low?
on the bright side, high mode is up to a whopping 3.4A at the tailcap!! That's the most I've been able to get from a light/driver yet. I swapped to 18Ga silicone wire while I had it apart, the stock wires I could only read up to 2.3~2.4A at the tailcap.
